The Arrival
1500 Hours
Forward Operating Base Iron Bull, Nevada, USA
The thunder roars loudly in the red sky as chain of lightning erupts around the opening gateway in the mountains and the earth shaking violently. The demonic legion emerges out of the gateway as a massive shockwave erupts and hits Forward Operating Base Iron Bull with a powerful force. Afterwards the demonic legion was visible from afar, marching alongside giant beast with massive rocket pods strap onto its back, in a massive wall formation in the open desert field. All of the giant beast dig into the ground for firing position and begin unloading its payload of missiles towards FOB Iron Bull in rapid succession. The base was pounded by barrages of rockets with most of the soldiers and marines taking cover inside the machine gun bunkers.
Most of the military equipment such as communications and vehicles are down from the EMP blast, leaving them defenseless against heavy ground and aerial targets. Staff Sergeant Ackerman and his squad quickly got into position as they begin to load up the machine gun belts and prepare to fend off the massive attack. Every marine and soldier was determined and prepared in holding the line at all costs.
"Shit," Reese looks out to the massive demonic army in shock and fear. "What the hell are those things?!"
"Looks like they are going to hit us hard," Ackerman was shocked like the rest of the unit while looking out to the open desert filled with warriors in black armor and massive creatures he thought were only from video games and fairytales. But he wasn't going down without a fight and his men can see his face that he was serious in defending the base. He kept his trigger on the M240 machine gun and ready to fire when they come close enough.
"All units, this is Hound 1-2," Davidson's voice came through their channels clearly, hinting that all electronics are not completely out. "We have no fucking clue what we are dealing with, but I know for sure those things are not the Black Order! Our objectives remain the same, hold off the counterattack until the Avalon Wing Squadron arrives to lend us air support because we're going to need it and god help us all if they breach through our defenses! Stay alert marines and remember... hold the lines at all costs and kill anything that isn't human! This is Hound 1-2 out."
A shout of demonic voices came from the open desert as the warriors formed up a phalanx formation and marches towards the FOB in massive numbers and covering themselves with shields. A couple of massive bug-like creatures was borrowing through underground alongside the demonic warriors in great speed.
"SHIT!" One of the Diaz brothers shouted loudly. "We got something moving fast at 12 o' clock, about 200 meters away!"
Ackerman can see them moving through the dust clouds quickly before borrowing underground and disappear from sight. He was concerned as the ground shook, but has no idea where the bugs might appear. The ground bursts in front of them and the bugs hits their bunkers hard.
