Lunathion
She was falling. Everything around her was alight in flame, and she was falling towards a crescent shaped city with strange tall buildings.
As she hit the earth she was greatful for her flames. Without them the landing would have been fatal. As Aelin opened her eyes after crashing into the strange city, she heard footsteps coming towards her and soft voices. She reached out her hand and laid it protectively over her abdomen, making sure that her stomach wasn't injured in any way or form.
Before they rounded the corner she quickly shifted into her human form, which she was still confused to how she had back, just to be safe. She tried to stand but collapsed to the ground as a fierce tugging pulled in her chest. Rowan must have fallen through whatever that darkness was with her. She didn't want to think what else it could mean.
As she lay on the ground, Aelin saw two people coming towards her. One had wine red hair and fae ears, and the other had grey feathered wings. Both were holding some weird metal L shaped thing, and both were pointing it at her. It had to be a weapon of some sort.
   "Rowan"
That was all she got out before slipping back into the dark oblivion of unconsciousness

~

Gun still raised, Hunt slowly moved towards the human girl. After fully determining that she was indeed unconscious he put his gun away and told Bryce to do the same. He bent down, and with the help of Bryce, hoisted the girl up.
"Why the fuck is a mortal girl lying in the streets where a ball of flame should have hit?"
"I don't know sweetheart. Should we call your brother?"
"No. Let him and the others enjoy themselves for a bit. We'll take her back to the apartment and go from there"
With that, Hunt scooped both ladies up into his arms and shot into the sky.

~

As the haze of unconsciousness faded and her senses cleared, Aelin took in her surroundings without moving or opening her eyes. Wherever she was it was best to get a bearing on the situation before engaging with whoever was in the room with her.
The first thing she noticed was that she was on a chair with her hands behind her back, her wrists restrained with something like shackles but more lightweight and of a different make. They felt unnatural against her skin and she wanted to get them off as soon as she could.
She could hear two voices talking softly from somewhere to her left, but without her fae senses she couldn't make out what they were saying. All she could tell was that one was male and one female.
After taking in her surroundings with her other senses she finally opened her eyes. Standing in a corner of the room was the male and female from the street. The red headed female step forward and look aelin straight in the eyes.
"Who are you, Where are you from and what are you doing here? And don't fuck around with us because I can tell when your lying"
Aelin caught her bluff straight away. She had obviously never been in an interrogation before.
Moving her hands around to try and figure out how to free herself from the restraints on her wrists, aelin looked the girl dead in the eyes and said "First off where am I, second off why did you bring me here, and third off who the fuck are you?"
"We asked you first and were not the ones handcuffed to a chair" the winged male said.
So they were called handcuffs. Interesting.
As the queen scanned the male, she noticed the metal L resting just below his hand and knew that if she made any wrong move, she would find out what that weapon did sooner rather than later.
Looking back up into the females amber eyes, she came to the conclusion that if she wanted information, she would have to give some as well.
"I'll make you a deal. I give you my name and you give me yours and we go from there"
Both of her captors looked at each other for a second and than facing back to her nodded their agreement.
"Well my name is Lilian Gordainia. So who are you?" The lie came to her easily. As if she was gonna tell them her real name. She didn't even feel comfortable telling them the name she had for most of her life.
The fae girl answered her "Well I'm Bryce and this is Hunt." Aelin was right. If they had been able to tell if she was lying they would have called her out on her name being false.
"It would be much easier to have a civil conversation with my hands untied"
"If you think we're gonna just take off your restraints and let you run free just because you told us your name, you're dead wrong sweetheart"
   It was worth a shot.
"Ok Lilian, where you from?" Bryce stared her down as she asked the question.
"I'm not answering that question until someone tells me where I am" the Queen was starting to get pissed. Usually people were panicking by now, as they would realised that her mate would go to every extent to get her back. If these people didn't know who she was then she had to be in some foreign place. Everyone knew who Aelin Galathynius was!
"You see sweetheart" the winged male said in a patronising voice as he leaned against the white wall "If we told you what part of Lunathion we were in, you would easily be able to find your way back to whatever house you're from before we can get the aux here, and we need to know why you were passed out in the street where a ball of flame should have been, and what 'Rowan' means"
How did he know Rowan? And then she remembered. Right before she passed out she had said her mates name before the black oblivion hit. Once aelin had finished speculating how they knew Rowan the strange things he said hit her.
What on earth was Lunathion? What was the Aux? And what was he talking about when he said 'whatever house you're from'?
"Well for starter what the fuck is Lunathion? I've never heard of it. And also what On earth is an Aux?"

~

Was this woman insane?? How could she not know what Lunathion was? How could she not know what the Aux was? Bryce looked to hunt bewildered, and saw that he was thinking the same thing.
As she stared bewildered at the girl, hunt took charge.
"Where are you from?" He asked calmly, but Bryce could tell it was strained.
" I told you. I'm not telling you anything until you tell me what this 'Aux' thing you said was and what 'Lunathion' is." The young human snapped, her long blonde hair falling behind her shoulder as she flicked her head to the side.
Bryce snapped out of her daze enough to be able to speak properly to the girl. "Well if you do t know what Lunathion is than either you've been living under a rock your whole life or your not from here, and if your not from here than something around here isn't right"
The girl just glared at them, her gold rimed, turquoise eyes bright with flames, before finally answering. "I'm from wendlyn"
What in fucking Midgard was wendlyn? Bryce had never heard of such a thing in her whole life.
"Wendlyn? I've never heard of any place in Midgard called that." She looked to Hunt for the answer but he looked as clueless as she did
"Midgard? What sort of place is called Midgard?"
This woman was definitely insane. There was no other explanation for the things she was saying

~

Aelin had heard of many places in erilea and the other continents but never had she heard of Midgard. She was about to ask them more about the topic but all of a sudden a high pitched song blasted out from Bryce's pocket.
The red headed fae pulled out a small rectangle that was making the noise and which also lit up. She had never seen such things before and she hated to admit it, but the thing scared her.
Bryce excused herself and walked out the fort into what looked to be a strange kitchen, filled with weird looking objects that aelin had never seen before.
Before aelin could get the chance to get a better look at any of the strange contraptions the door was closed and Hunt was standing over her with a scowl on his features.
"What's the deal with Rowan? You said the world right before you passed out on the street. It's an unusual thing to say right before passing out or when your in a dangerous situation. We don't usually get those berries around here so why were they the last thing you said before fainting?"
The queen of Terrasen glared at Hunt with eyes that would have scared away any man, even her mate and his cadre. The male just stood there and pushed his black hair out of his dark brown eyes.
"Rowan" she said with emphasis "is a person, not some stupid berry," there was venom in her voice now, "and he's my friend." She chocked on the last word. She hated calling Rowan a friend. He was more than that. Way more than that, and she never wanted him to be any less to her than he already was. But she had to say he was only a friend. If these people knew she had a mate, there was no telling what they would do.
All of a sudden aelin felt an excruciating pain in her shoulder. The pain was in the exact same spot that Rowan was shot by asterin's arrow that day in Oakwald Forrest. She knew the pain that shot through her whole body. It was the mating bond. It could be nothing else.
All these thought went through her head in a split second before she screamed out in unbearable - emotional and physical - pain.
