Chapter 8

With the information we got from Walker's hideout, we established a new web of targets to cripple the White Mask Organization.  This new web had only three targets, two of which would be easy to take down. I found the location of our next target, Fox, and spent some time with Tina.

Tina: Y/N, if you go after the targets alone, I'm not going to forgive you this time.

Unspoken: I won't, Tina. I promise you.

I did plan on going alone, but changed my mind after Tina told me.

Tina: I'm serious, Y/N. I won't forgive you if you go alone. I refuse to lose you again...

Unspoken: I promise you that I will not go alone. What do I have to do to prove it to you?

Tina: Look me in the eyes and tell me you won't go alone.

I looked Tina right in the eyes without blinking.

Unspoken: I'm going to leave alone... Do you believe me now?

Tina: Not fully, but mostly and I'll trust that you're telling the truth.

Unspoken: Thank you. I'll do anything to get you to fully believe me.

Tina: I believe you, Y/N.

Tina put her arms around my neck and her head under my chin.

Tina: Why am I so short?

Unspoken: It makes you cuter.

Tina: Oh, shut your mouth.

Unspoken: I'm just speaking honestly with you.

Tina: So being shorter makes me cuter?

Unspoken: To me, yes because I'm a taller person.

Tina's phone vibrated and she grabbed it from the table. She looked at the screen for a second and set the phone back down.

Tina: Just some random number thinking I'm named Stacy.

Unspoken: Good old spam texts.

Tina: Yep... We should do something.

Unspoken: There's a bunch of stuff off base.

Tina: There's a bar with some really good food.

Unspoken: Alright, let's go. Do you want anyone to come?

Tina: Do you?

Unspoken: I don't care.

Tina: Ok, I'll invite Monika. Marius will probably come with her.

Unspoken: Double date.

Tina: Yep, I'm not dressing up.

Unspoken: Me neither. I'm just gonna wear a hoodie and my sweat pants.

Tina: Give me a hoodie too.

Unspoken: You have one of mine already.

Tina: Give me another one please.

Unspoken: Only because you said please.

I gave Tina a hoodie and she looked comfortable in it.

Tina: You might be questioning why I wanted another one. Your answer is that I put that one back with the others so I don't have one anymore.

I patted the top of Tina's head and she hit me with her beanie.

Unspoken: Ok, miss moose.

Tina put her hands in the pocket and walked ahead of me.
