Singa's pov

Before you continue reading,this was inspired by Mirabella_Scarlett for i am dead inside and she is far better than me in writing.

As she turned to leave,I felt a sudden urge to stop her."Wait no Mal!"At her name,she turned around curiously."Stay please..."I pleaded in a small voice as I saw her widen her eyes.

Malaysia's pov

He wanted me to stay?After all I had done?However,all my worries vanished when he lifted his gaze to me.His eyes were once again,filled with emotions that flooded him during the separation,different kind of emotions,fear,concern,love.It was so evident on his face that I had to hold in a gasp of surprise,Singa,which was always emotionless and displayed no other emotions to others other than disdain,was now displaying his emotions so openly,so desperately...almost as if he wanted to be vulnerable to her.As they both stared at each other,unsure of our emotions,Malaysia thought,I can't let this go on, it's now or never.

"Singa?"

"Yeah?"

"Im sorry..."

No one's pov

Sorry?What did she need to be sorry about?If only I had tried harder to find a way to make it work,then maybe we wouldn't be like this now,it was all my fault,not hers.

"W...what do you need to be sorry about?"croaked out the Singaporean as he ran his hand through his hair,afraid of the tense atmosphere between them.

"I should never have tried to kick you out because of my people,I should have tried harder,way harder."Malaysia muttered as she looked down.

Mal's pov

I wanted to kick myself,I was so weak.I could feel a sense of crushing disappointmentbsettling down onto my shoulders,snickering into my ears.It was clearly my fault?Why couldn't he see it?I let him down,I was a coward.

"Don't you think it's unfair?We are personifications of our countries,lands invaded by humans,yet we get hurt the most",Singapore huffed out,letting out a humourless laugh.

"Singa,stop it"The Singa I knew would lay down his life for his people,this was not him.

"Isn't it unfair?"

Now this was starting to scare me

"Singa stop,please i'm begging you"

"Is this really our faults?Weren't we forced to obey their selfish rules?"

"SINGAPORE!"I finally yelled,wanting to snap Singapore out of his trance.

Luckily,it worked.

The Singaporean let out a humorless laugh ."Sorry,i went too far didnt i?"he chuckled as he stood up from his chair and reached out his arms, pulling me to him in a hug.Malaysia hugged him back without hesitation,burying her face in his chest holding back her
tears and for once,everything felt undercontrol.

Something in her told her to just do it already,just tell him already.

She took his hand,which was hanging limply by his side, in hers as she looked at it with sorrowful eyes.

"Do you think I wanted this to happen you idiot?"Malaysia sobbed"Can you not make this more difficult than it already is?I hated myself for being such a wimp,I never wanted you to leave.

It was difficult enough with all those rebellious people in my country,at least at that time,i had you,you were the one i trusted the most,but when things got worse,i succumbed to the orders of my president,out of fear of losing my status in this country.Do you know bad i felt after the separation?I felt like a loser,hurting others to get my way,a failure."

Singapore was lost for words as he looked at the burying her face into his chest.Never before had he seen her so frustrated.She had always been the one to bring the mood up,hating it when other people started to give up so easily.He felt wetness on the hand that was gripped.He looked to see it was tears,Malaysia was shivering furiously,dangerously close to letting the dam burst.His face softened as he pulled the Malaysian close.

He didn't say anything,just held her close.

After a while,Singa started to speak up,his voice nothing more than a whisper.

"I don't know about you,but i will never let them tear us apart again"

"Wait,what?"

"Yes Malaysia,listen up,for I'm gonna say it again."

The Singaporean mustered up his courage as he held Malaysia by the waist and said,

"Malaysia,can we start over again?As humans?"

"W...what?"She stuttered out,blushing because of the close proximity.

"No politics,no bosses,just normal human beings."

"S...sure!"

Malaysia stuttered out,heart palpitating madly.

The Singaporean smiled as he leaned in,as their lips met,an unspoken promise was made between them,a promise of eternal love.
