Chapter 4 - Beating the odds

As Luke, Rosie and me were netflixing, we heard a knock on our door. As i looked through the hole of the door, I didn't notice anyone standing on the other side of the door. ''Hello!?'' I yelled. No one answered. I opened the door and the door shut behind me. I heard a yell coming from my room. ''ROSIE!?'' I tried to open the door, but it was locked.

''Rosie, please say yes if you're okay.'' 

I heard the door unlock and opened it. The room was empty as i got a message from Rosie. ''I'm okay, don't worry about it.'' I got suspicious. Rosie doesn't type with capitals.

''ROSIE!? LUKE!?'' i screamed out loud. No one answered.

I walked to my bedroom and saw a leg sticking out from underneath my bed. It was Luke's leg. I noticed from his costum air force 1's. I pulled his leg and rested his head on my lap. 

''Luke, please answer me. Where's Rosie? What happened!?''

He opened his eyes slowly and answered me softly.

''I'm afraid they took Rosie.. Ophelia.'' 

My eyes started to tear up. ''No, no.. Not Rosie.. Not again.'' 

''You know how Oceania is, she has bunch of bodyguards. They must've found her body.'' 

''Luke, tell me what happened to you.'' 

''Rosie got shot in the leg and they took her away, i couldn't scream because they put a sock in my mouth. I'm so sorry, Ophelia. I was too late. I can't and never will save her. I'm exhausted.'' 

''Go rest, Luke. I'll do it on my own.'' 

''It's too dangerous for you.''

''I've heard that too many times before. I'm going to prove that i'm not the same little terrified girl anymore like i used to be.'' 

''Do it for Rosie..'' He said while he kissed my cheek and fell asleep.

I put him on the bed and pulled sheets over him. ''Rest well, Luke.'' 

I walked out the door and there were 3 guys standing in front of me. 

''WHERE IS LUKE!?''  They yelled.

''i don't know.. where is Rosie!?'' I yelled back

They were silent. ''Oh little girl, we'll hurt you if you don't tell where he is.''

''Not if i hurt you first'' I kicked the first guy in the balls and grabbed his gun and pointed it at the second guy. ''Don't put a step further if you don't want to be hurt.''  

He stood still as  i heard footsteps behind me. I heard him reloading his gun and could feel he was pointing at me. I crouched down as he was going to shoot and he did. 

*BANG* as i saw the guy in front of me drop to the floor, dead.

 He looked shocked and looked at his gun. ''Last bullet..'' He pointed his gun at me.

I pulled my hands up as he was ready to shoot. ''Please, no..'' 

He shot, but missed as i dodged the bullet. 

''You're messing with the wrong girl.'' I grabbed him and pointed a gun at his head while holding him. ''Tell me where Rosie is right now or i'll shoot you.'' 

''Basement.. Room 452.'' 

I let him go, but still shot him. He fell to the ground, i checked his pulse. Dead.

''Four people dead, 93 people to go.'' 

I went to room 452 and walked into the basement. I heard screams coming from the room. ''BE QUIET'' i heard.

Great, more people there to kill.

I crouched down to watch what's happening. I saw Rosie tied up and screaming. ''OPHELIA WILL HELP ME!'' she screamed. ''Ophelia is not here with you anymore. We sent three guys to her.'' 

I walked into the room. ''Three guys that were very weak.'' I said, while holding a gun.

''Ophelia!?'' The man in the room said.

I answered. ''Why did you send 3 weak guys to me? You know i'm not terrified of you anymore.''

As he took of his mask, I left a schocking breath coming from my mouth.

''D-dad?'' I answered with tears in my eyes.

''I didn't want to do this either, Daughter.'' He said while he shot my leg.

I dropped to the floor, crying.

''I'm not going to kill you, Ophelia.'' 

He came towards me to tie me up. As he was standing in front of me, i bit him.

He fell to the ground and i grabbed the socks in his hand. I used one as bandaid and one to put in his mouth. ''That will teach you.

I skipped to Rosie, On one leg, to untie her. 

''I knew you were going to save me.'' 

''Talk less and run, Rosie. Go to the other room, Luke is there.'' 

I tied my dad up and left him there.

''Good luck daughter..'' He said while taking his final breath.

With tears in my eyes i left the room.  I just murdered my dad.

i went to the room. I entered the room and saw something i didn't want to see.

I saw Rosie.. kissing Luke.

''R-rosie? Luke!?'' 

Luke got up as quickly as possible and said: ''I-it's not what it looks like, Ophelia..'' 

I looked into Rosie's eyes and she nodded. I knew she betrayed me.

''I'm done with both of you. I'm going solo.'' 

Luke and Rosie stared at me as i left the room, crying the biggest tears i ever could cry.

I wrote my final note to them both after i blocked them.

''Hi Luke and Rosie. I know i just told you that i was going solo and i am. You two were the only ones i could've ever trusted.. and you broke that. The promise of me marrying Luke and our kids marrying the ones of Rosie, is broken. I never want to speak to both of you ever again. You both meant everything to me. i've been dealing with Rosie's pain for my whole life while she didn't know what i was going through. I am dealing with a drugdealer father and a dead mom. And now i murdered my own dad just to risk it for Rosie. Just know i loved you both so much. I'm sick of dealing with your problems all the time. I'm happy y'all found your happiness. This is the last time you'll ever see me and speak to me again. I'll see you in the finale. Greetings, Ophelia.''

As a tear left my face and dropped on the note, i slipped it underneath the door.

''I guess it's good bye, Luke and Rosie.'' 

I ran away as i heard their voices slowly fade away.

I cried so much, i could never imagine.

I murdered my dad and my friends betrayed me. I knew that Oceania was bad news, but she would've been really great to work with right now.

I cried and dropped down to the floor.
