Chapter 3 - Trust

Luke promised me he would hide me from Oceania. I still don't fully trust him. He didn't tell me about what Oceania was going to do, isn't that what a friend is supposed to do? I don't think he's going to kill me, but i think he's still going to lead me towards Oceania. Can i still trust him? I grabbed his hand and said: ''Do you trust me?'' He nodded: ''Ofcourse i do, why?'' I started tearing up. ''If you really trusted me, why would you not tell me about Oceania? or about my mom never being with me again, or about Rosie killing Oceania's dad?'' He started breaking down. He went on his knees, with his face in his hands. ''I'm sorry, Ophelia. I didn't know if you would've still liked me after i told you.'' He said, while looking upon me. ''You look so beautiful right now.'' He said. I smiled. I thought to myself: No, Ophelia. Don't fall for him. Trust is far behind in this friendship. What would happen if we dated?'' I forgot he could read my thoughts. ''So, you really can't trust me?'' He asked.  I answered: ''I don't know. You could've told me.'' 

I can see the regret in his eyes. ''okay, i forgive you.'' I said. I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. He smiled again. ''Thanks.'' He didn't do anything, but i could see he wanted a hug. I hugged him tightly. ''For now on, be completely honest with me, okay?'' He nodded. ''Ofc'' He keeps answering shortly.. weird. I got a phone notifciation. *Go to the cafeteria* I could see from his phone that he got the message too. We were walking towards the cafeteria and i suddenly remembered something. ''What if it's a plan, she always kills people in the cafeteria.'' He nodded. ''Let's just go. I'll protect you.'' I nodded and we walked. As soon as we opened the door, I saw rosie, tied up. Oceania walked in. ''Listen to me.. or i'll kill your little Rosie.'' I was scared for my life. ''Luke, please.. put a stop to this. You know her, you can do it.'' Luke answered. ''No.'' I was scared. ''We have to be careful around her. She'll kill me if i'll expose her.'' 

Oceania walked towards us. ''Task number one. Call your parents and say your goodbyes.'' I was afraid for my life and did what i shouldn't have. I saw a bow laying on the ground, with an arrow next to it. ''Luke, distract her.'' I whispered to him. He suddenly started talking to Oceania and took her to the bathroom. I quickly took the bow and arrow and went into the bathroom. I looked around the corner and i saw Luke flirting with Oceania, touching her cheek. I texted look. ''take one step back. Don't get scared.'' He looked at his phone and stepped back. I shot her around the corner, right in her stomach. She fell to the ground, bleeding unstoppingly. Luke laughed. ''Didn't know u were that type of tough girl.'' I smiled. ''I'm not, as long as u don't hurt my bestfriend or my future hus- I mean friend.'' He laughed again. ''Future husband? Is that what u see in me?'' I nodded and laughed. ''I know it's ridiculous and it won't happen but-'' I couldn't even finish my sentence and he kissed me.

I untied Rosie and made sure she was okay. I walked up to her and hugged her tightly. ''I'm so glad you're safe, Rosie.'' She thanked me: ''It's all because of you. You're so brave, You murdered her.'' I was surprised at my own actions. ''I-i murdered her.'' Rosie started crying. ''I loved her so much, how could she do this to me?'' I comforted Rosie and turned around. ''Now we need another person to join our team, or we're left with three.'' I looked at Luke. ''I think we're good with three. We can do it guys.'' Rosie and Luke nodded. ''What do we do now?'' We all looked at each other and thought of the same thing. We were going to netflix and eat icecream until there's more information from the government.
