“People say that you’re a dissolute girl, ignorant and incompetent. You cheated on Prince De a few times even though you were young. And you’re a perverse shrew.” replied Long Yinfeng.

Mu Xiyue twitched her mouth. Who the hell said that? How dared they defame her like that!

“Boring! People like to gossip. But I don’t care.” said she.

She helped Long Yinfeng lie down and then hung the drip up above the bed before she sat down on the bed.

“You’re right. They’re boring.” Long Yinfeng chimed in when he moved inward, “Lie down.”

Mu Xiyue shook her head and replied, “No, thanks. I’ll keep an eye on the drip and I’ll change it when the injection finishes.”

Long Yinfeng looked up at the injection bottle and reminded her, “These things are weird. Don’t take them out in front of others, or they’ll lock you up as a monster.”

“I know. I only showed them to you,” Mu Xiyue replied, “And you’ll keep the secret for me, won’t you?” As she spoke, she blinked. That was really lovely.

“I will.” promised Long Yinfeng.

He stared at her, his eyes being as deep as a black hole that could suck her in.

Mu Xiyue looked away and asked casually, “How old are you?”

“Twenty-five.”

“Twenty-five?” yelled Mu Xiyue in surprise, “Uncle, you’re robbing the cradle!”

“Uncle?” asked Long Yinfeng. It was a new word that he hadn’t ever heard from a girl before.

“I’m only fifteen and you’re ten years older. What else should I call you then?” explained Mu Xiyue.

Then she sighed and talked to herself, “What an evil feudal society! I’m only fifteen and I married twice. If we were in the 21st century, you would be totally committing a crime!”

“21st... century?” Long Yinfeng heard that and asked with great interest, “What is that? Your hometown?”

Mu Xiyue looked at him with glittering eyes. With a gentle smile, she explained in a low voice, “My hometown is a world where men and women are equal. There, a man can only marry one girl. Girls, of course, can make money to raise a family, too. In that age, there are no wars or emperors.”

She talked and beamed with joy. Long Yinfeng stared at her and somehow, he urged to visit that world.

Realizing that she was talking too much, Mu Xiyue asked carefully, “Do you think I’m a monster?”

“No.” replied Long Yinfeng with a smile.

She tucked the corner of his quilt and said, “You’re wounded and you need more rest. Get to sleep.”

“So do you,” said Long Yinfeng when he moved inward again, “Come and lie down.”

An embarrassed look appeared on her face. Mu Xiyue pointed at the bottle above the bed and said, “No, thanks. I have to watch it. When it ends, I’ll get you a new one. It works well for your wound.”
