An age to remember

Uhhhhhhhh today was going to suck
So so so much
Today may 13th was my twelfth birthday.

I was turning 12 which is great I can graduate early literally the day after my birthday or I can graduate with all the grade 12s

Also I legally become a Emancipated minor
So I'm 100 percent independent.

Butttt the one sad thing is.... my father doesn't remember my birthday
Soooo no one knows my birthday

Yeeeaahhhhhh fun

I could tell people but I don't know I didn't really want them to know, so I had to be subtle.
I was just awaiting the call from my school I think I'll graduate tomorrow it'll be easy then I can start my life.

I changed into my usual attire and finished my morning routine which ended with me having toast for breakfast, Aidan enter and smiled at me before grabbing a glass of orange juice and sitting across from me.

Then father and Angie came down
Riiiigghht he was home today
At first I thought it might have been for my birthday but he was too preoccupied with Angie.

"  morning darling" Angie said smiling at me before leaving the kitchen I just stared at my dad part of me hoping I was wrong and he knew

" morning" he said before walking out and I rolled my eyes way too done with this shi.....stuff this stuff

I got up and washed my plate I virtually  had nothing to do today..... I could.... no wait I could watch friends with Alfred
Perfect way to celebrate turning 12

So entered my room and grabbed my laptop and Alfred and watched friends for literally 2 hours straight before I realised

IT had gone missing "it" just meaning my phone, but still I was expecting a phone call and now I...I needed to find it
Kitchen I was only in the kitchen today well and the yard
So I ran out to the yard and I'm not joking when I say I checked every piece of grass.

" what are ou doing?" A laugh came behind me I turned to see Aidan and Charlie watching me with amusement and
Aidan had me phone

I've never moved so fast in my life I basically flew and grabbed my phone scrolling through calls then
I saw it the call from my school and
.......it had been answered dun dun duhhhhhhh

I might be acting a little to dramatic but it's my birthday and I can act dramatic if i want to

" is their something you wanted to tell us?" Charlie asked
He knew I had to play it safe

" yes" I said they seemed to smile at each other
"Security at every level of an airport is absolutely ridiculous. Until you get to the baggage claim. Then it's just, basically, take whatever bag you want."

I laughed nervously
Aidan raised an eyebrow
" actually Watching a graduation ceremony is basically sitting through a movie with entirely end credits" I laughed backing up slowly

Then they both stepped forward
" let's talk some more about graduations" Charlie said

" don't you only graduate when your twelve" Aidan said it wasn't even a question more a statement

" ye....yes" I said

"So is today your birthday?" Charlie asked

" good question... the Oxford dictionary defines birthdays as...." I started

" Rosalyn" Aidan's voice was testy

So much for keeping it a secret
" fine fine yeah it's today" I looked to the side

" why didn't your father tell us ?" Charlie asked

" I don't think he uh remembers" I muttered

A pair of arms pulled my up so my feet left the ground Charlie was pulling me into a hug
" don't worry we're here and we can celebrate your birthday together just
Me, Aidan, Liam, Dylan, Maddy, Quin and Azalea" he said putting one of his arms under my legs so he was carrying me.

They went back inside and Charlie brought me to his room and told me to stay their
So I did what I always wanted to do
Redesign his room I'm just saying it's to-uh....hhehehehe ugly but now I'm alone

" rosy time to come to your room oh ha ha ha Charlie is going to be so mad" Liam said entering
" ha ok come on"

We entered my room and it was filled with everyon..... my friends
Yeah filled with my friends and cake
Oooooh cake

So we all laughed and hung out watching movies and eating cake

I was twelve finally twelve

After the party I called the school and  told them I'd stay for the rest of the year till the grade twelve graduation

I mean it wasn't as if it mattered much it was just one more month but still

I climbed into bed Alfred smiling widely with an " i told you so" look in his eyes
I ignored him and started to close my eyes
Excited for tomorrow

" ROSALYN" I heard Charlie hell from next door

Oh riiiight hahahaha i hope he enjoys flowers and pink
