Graduating with honors

How do people do this, I let go of the rest of my hair and groaned.
This is why I woke up at 3 am
to get ready for the graduation
Yet it was 6:15 and I still hadn't been able to do my hair.
My dress reflected in the mirror
It was dark blue the front shorter than the back and it looked so cute.

There was a knock at my room door I yelled come in and a giggle came from outside the bathroom
Dylan and Liam came in smiling
" hey" Dylan sung

I turned
" uhhhh"

" ok well you seem..... anyway we wanted to uh give you something" Liam smirked
and pulled something from behind his back.
" it's not everyday your 12 year sister graduates before you"

I laughed
" anyway here" Dylan smiled
I looked at the black box in Liam's hand, inside was a necklace with a small circle of rose gold and white crystals

" wow you guys didn't hav...." i started but was interrupted by Dylan spinning me around and putting the necklace on

" but we did" he said before him and Liam wished me good luck and left
I turned back to the mirror it looked really pretty

I smiled before my eyes drifted to my hair I groaned
" let me help darling" Angie said walking in and miraculously doing my hair as if it wasn't the hardest thing in the world.

" thanks"

" no problem... you look stunning" she smiled " come on the ceremony starts in less than an hour and Charlie's already ready.

We went down to her car Aidan and Liam were in Aidan's car, Charlie was sitting next to me he looked handsome in his suit.

" do you have your speech ready?" He asked

" yup" I said

" so your ready" he said
I laughed

" not a chance" I replied

" great so let's go graduate" he laughed

Boring I was waiting behind the curtain till it was my turn to go up on stage and it was almost my turn but I was sooooo bored.
Maddison had gone up a while ago and was sitting with the other graduates.

" Charlie Winston"
Charlie patted my shoulder and went up shaking the principals hand and smiling
He had a short speech full of jokes and only jokes

Then " Rosalyn Winston"
All the excitement flew out of me as I stepped on stage faces starring at me and one of them was my FATHER

I shook the principals hand as he handed me my certificate
I turned to the crowd

It was so quiet I took a deep breath and looked around to find a familiar face
My eyes landed on Azalea she winked at me and moved something from behind her back

I smiled
" when I first got to this school I wanted it to pass quickly, i never noticed how many things were passing me
I didn't even try to make friends
But once I had the time passed too fast
As dr Seuss said

I guess now I have the memory of my time here but I will miss it" I said walking down to the others
Sitting next to Charlie and Maddy
She is nice though sarcastic most of the time but she's nice.

After the graduation everyone was talking with their family and friends
I ran to Azalea hugging her
" thanks" I whispered

" no problem oh and don't ask how I got into your room" she laughed " come on" she grabbed my arm and pulled me to the punch table the chairs had been cleared so it was just food now

I was holding Alfred as I drank my punch Aidan walked over swinging his arm around my shoulder
" I'm not saying I'm jealous" he swayed on his heel
" I'm just saying I want to graduate too"
He grabbed my punch and drank it

" and I'm not saying I'm Cinderella I'm just saying no one has seen me and Cinderella in the same room" I said Azalea snorted

Angie came over with my father
" Rosalyn your speech was.. wonderful" my father said I smiled
" but it could have been longer"

I rolled my eyes slightly
" I though it was superb" Angie laughed

" thanks" I said looking up to the gym stage a projector was playing baby pictures of all the graduating students

" did you get some cake?" Liam asked coming over

" Liam how many pieces have you had" Angie asked

" K Liam I got your 7th piece so they don't see you coming back" Dylan said

" Liam" Angie turned to him

" I'll take this" I grabbed the cake
It looked sooo good with the little red rose it was as if it was made for me.

" come on let's dance" Azy said
I made a disapproving grunt but she still took the plate from me and grabbed my arm

" come on " she pulled me into the middle of the dance floor
as the song champions came on

We twirled and then she started dancing I've never really been good at dancing but I laughed and started doing the disco
" what..." she laughed
Then started doing the disco with me

Best friends for evvvver
