As you helped the fox hybrid, whose name you learned was Ryujin, get settled into your room a very tense Jaehyun quickly said goodnight and practically sprinted to his room. You would question him on his weird behavior later.

You showed Ryujin the shower and gave her some clothes, as well as some pills you had which made heat more bearable.

You being a big cat hybrid normally would have an unbearable time functioning in society because the scent of the many hidden male hybrids were easily detected by your heightened senses, but luckily in the black market there were plenty of artificial drugs that weakened nerve responses.

You gave one of those pills to Ryujin hoping it would help her settle down. You usually hid the information of your hybrid nature from most other hybrids you helped but at this point it was quite obvious to her so you didn't bother, besides foxes were cunning, and she would realize the implications of ratting you out.

After eating a meal and small talking to find out where she lived and if she had a methods of living (she said she didn't and made do by moving cities and doing small odd jobs here and there), you decided you could use her help while keeping her under your wing.

You decided to offer her an "assistant" position which basically meant she'd help around the house when you couldn't have outsiders in, especially during your heat, during which you knew you became a literal monster.

In return you'd provide her with meals and figure out an ID and maybe some online courses to do without having to go out much while you trained her to resist her hybridism and face the world.

She was thankful to you and you showed her into a guest room in your vast apartment, giving her the directions to the gym in case she got too agitated, you had a whole hybrid's dream of a gym room that you regularly exercised in to stop from getting too angry and you know, hurting someone.

You went back to your room, showered and was getting ready to hit the sack when there was a knock on your door.

It was Ryujin.

"You okay? Can't sleep?"

"Actually Miss, I have something to tell you."

You insisted she doesn't call you Miss, let's be honest the main reason you decided to sponsor the girl was because you were basically alone in the world.
You had a few hybrid friends from your childhood at Mrs. Seo's place, like her son Johnny the bear hybrid, Doyoung the bunny hybrid who was a few years older than you, and Jennie the cat hybrid but they were all busy with their own work, you guys rarely had the time to meet up.

Ryujin was sitting with you on the couch, looking a bit nervous.

"At first I thought you knew, but then as I kept thinking about it and how you've been taking the nerve pills for a while... I thought you might not know about him...?"

"What do you mean? What about who?"

"The uhm- the hybrid that's working for you"

You immediately thought of Yuta and laughed, "No way he's been with me for like five years including one or two times when I had forgotten my medication..."

"Wait, which one do you mean again?"

"His scent was so strong, I was walking on the road when I felt it suddenly when your car rounded, it was so strong I was immediately drawn to it, ending up with me almost getting hit by the car".

"You mean my drive-""No the man at the backseat" she said quickly. "I think my scent was a bit hard for him to take in too."

And then you remembered how your bodyguard Jaehyun had suddenly begun to behave weirdly, almost like he was holding something in. Was Jaehyun really a hybrid?? Did you really hire a goddamn male hybrid as your bodyguard??? You were in trouble.

You immediately called Johnny, if anyone knew about the hybrids in the area it was him.

"Hey Johnny, I was wondering about uhm my new bodyguard, his name is Jung Jaehyun... Have you heard his name? Could he be a hybrid?"

"Hold on I'll check". You were agitated as the seconds passed. You realized how you had always sensed something about Jaehyun, and how he hadn't appeared on any of your searches... So all of that was because he was a hybrid?

"Ahh nope, no one called Jaehyun on my records love, you don't have to panic" Johnny replied. As you thanked him and hung up, you didn't feel relieved. With all of your observations and now with what Ryujin said, there had to be some kind of explanation.

You told Ryujin to go back to sleep as you slipped into the black catsuit you kept for late night strolls up and down the city, but mostly you had to keep yourself to the vast span of monkey bars that ran all around your apartment.

You knew it wasn't nice to spy on your employees but you swore to yourself that it was only to confirm whether Jaehyun was a hybrid or not. Thanks to your cat genes you leapt out of your window with the agileness of any street cat and swung silently from window to window.

Most of you immediate employees including your bodyguard were housed in the same apartment complex as you, so you figured it was a few more windows till you reached Room No. 811.

Nothing would have prepared you however for the sight that awaited you when you found a crack of light in the window that the closed curtains had missed.

Hey everyone, I hope you guys like this chapter, Yeji is my bias from Itzy but Ryujin is my bias wrecker and I felt she'd suit the role better. Like I said before this story will probably be finished in around 8 chapters, it was meant to be a oneshot but there had to be a bit of background info so I made it a series. Honestly it was a bit obvious that Jaehyun was a hybrid... Right? What hybrid do you think he'll be?
