Chapter 7: Kaya Knows

"I love you too my darling. I hope you have a great day with Kaya." Little does he know what I'll be talking too her about. "I will do. Have a good day at work handsome." He sighed. "I suppose I'll try too but you know I hate paperwork." Its his worst nightmare. "Yes I do but the sooner you get it done, the better." He nodded slowly before buttoning up his shirt. "I'll leave you to get changed, come and see me before you go though. I don't know what's wrong with me today but I just want to be by you as much as possible." He had the sweetest 'puppy dog' face which made my heart melt. "I will, I promise. Go get yourself settled in the office handsome." He nodded sheepishly and left the room. Maybe he can sense something is going on... the fact that I think I might be pregnant.

I walked into our wardrobe and looked at my dresses. I picked out a medium denim blue pair of dungarees in the end, and a white top to wear underneath and paired them with my white converse and black cardigan to keep me warm.

I grabbed my bag and ran down to the home office to find Thomas sat in the office chair with his Knees tucked up to his chin. "Tommy? What's the matter?" He looked up at me and his eyes were almost filled with fear but he quickly put a smile on his face for me. "Nothing, I'll be alright I promise you. Go and enjoy your day." I don't believe him but I know he'll hate it if I stay. "Call me if something happens, okay?" I ruffled his hair and kissed his temple.

I ran out the door and grabbed the nearest taxi and headed to Hyde Park where I was meeting Kaya. She was already sat outside a really cute café that I'd never been to before in my entire two years of living in London. "Rosie! Hey girl!" She squealed as I stepped out of the taxi. "Hi Kaya." I sighed. "What's wrong? Come on, I've got us a table booked inside." She grabbed my arm and took me inside where we were met by one of the staff members who took us to a quiet little corner that was quite cut off. I understood why Kaya didn't want to be bothered by fans, Thomas gets like that some days.

"Its nothing. What are we having to eat then?" I'm quite hungry to be honest. "Cake? I'm craving that big slice of chocolate badness over there." I glanced behind me and boy did that look good! "Me too. Lets get cake!" The waiter took our order, Kaya and I both got chocolate cake and a pot of tea. Nothing like a guilty slice of cake.

"So... Where do you wanna shop? I need to get some clothes for Reuban, I wish he'd stop growing so fast." Oh god. Kids stuff, baby stuff. Pregnancy... "Erm... I, erm. I might get something for Thomas. He might be going away soon." The look on Kaya's face was something else. It didn't look like she believed me at all. "Rosie? The minute I mentioned kids your eyes widened but not in an excited way." Oh boy... I guess I should tell her. "Um... Well... I-I think I might. I might be-" Kaya's eyes widened, like she knew. "Pregnant?!" She blurted out which attracted some attention. Great, thanks Kaya. I nodded sheepishly and I could instantly feel my cheeks blushing. "Oh my gosh! That's amazing! Having kids is amazing and I bet Thomas would be a great Dad." Wait, wait, wait. "But Kaya, you said giving birth was the most painful experience?" She nodded. "Yes, but its over in a matter of hours and you get to watch your child grow into an amazing adult. I love teaching Reu new things and our kids could be friends!" I guess that'd be kind of cute. "We need to get you a pregnancy test! Come on, I've paid already lets go!" Kaya grabbed me by my arm and barely left me any time to get my things before dragging me out of the door and to the nearest pharmacy. I can't believe this is actually happening.
