Lily's Secret Crush

Chapter 12

We have passed our house twice already. I think she's waiting for me to say something. I'm trying to find the strength to do so.

"Mom, okay stop, please. I'm going to tell you everything," Here goes nothing. "Ever since I met David, I've had this big crush on him. He finally said yes and we dated for one day. The next day, he didn't answer his phone because he was with another girl. We argued and I decided to end things. He can't let it go, so he came to Elvis's party to make problems. Then Elvis confessed he has a crush on me," I think I'm about to faint. BREATH LILY!

She laughs, "Sweety, the crush you had on David, was obvious as the crush Elvis had on you. You were the only one who didn't notice. We all knew but stayed quiet," What? am I really that oblivious?

"The issue right now is who do you like," My problem is that I don't know. I've only have had eyes for David always. Elvis has always been a best friend to me. I have never seen him with other eyes.

This is all my fault and now is up to me to fix it. I'm calling David to meet me at the park. We need to talk this before things go worst.

Fifteen minutes later, he arrives in a football shirt with jeans and sandals. I'm kind of nervous because he's kind of violent. The good thing is there are people here and he looks calm, for now.

"I'm sorry for overreacting and for having a crush on you. You and I are complete opposites that would have never worked. We had a nice friendship and I ruined it all," He stays quiet but finally takes a seat next to me on the bench.

"Yeah, you messed things up but not only you. When I dropped you off, Eiza called me. We spent the night together. I promise you nothing happened. I just didn't know how to tell you," And here I was thinking he was with Maria.

"You still like her don't you," He still likes her it's obvious he's hurt. Eiza has been the only girl he has lasted with. This has to be more than like he loves her.

"Go talk to her, you love her David," He turns to look at me and gives me a small smirk. I repeat to him too, "Go," and he gets up. Oh crap! "Hey David, are...we like fine now," He turned his back to face me with a full-on smile.

"Yes, Lily-nily," There is my old friend that I know. Now, the hardest part has come. Elvis is already waiting for me outside his house. He looks so adorable in a yellow sweatshirt and sweat pants.

"How was the party," He gives me a small smile and I walk towards him. "I spoke to David and things are okay now," Elvis expression has changed to a more sad look.

"Yeah, Eiza and he are probably getting back together," he moves his head up, and this time his face changes. Elvis had probably thought David and I were together again.

"So I was thinking you and I could be friends again," He looks at me confused but I explain to him, "I mean without the crushes and the drama. Let's start all over," Elvis is probably going to take this as a no.

I'm just not ready to lose him right now. If things happened then let them happen. As for now, I want to be just friends with him...
