Dipper's a good brother.

He helps his sister with her homework, does her chores for her when she asks, and helps her any way he can.

But when Dipper ever needed help, Mabel turned a blind eye at him, always making up some sort of excuse to not help him.

The school year went on like that and Dipper gave up on asking Mabel for any sort of help. But that didn't mean he loved her any less; he did his best to keep her happy.

He only wished she would return his favors, but that wouldn't come until another trip of self discovery would come this summer.

School was now over and the first day of summer came around.

Dipper and Mabel were excited to go back to Gravity Falls and see their Great Uncles and friends again.

They were all packed and waited on the bench at the bus stop for the bus to arrive. It was no debate when Mabel decided to take Waddles with them so he waited with them by the bench.

"Are you excited to go back to Gravity Falls, Mabel?" Dipper asked.

"Well, DUH!" Mabel responded with a big smile, "I can't wait to see Grunkle Stan and Ford, and Wendy, and Soos, and Candy, and Grenda, and definitely NOT Gideon. Ew, gross."

Dipper chuckled, "Yeah, I can't wait to discover more of Gravity Falls. I wonder what other mysteries are hiding there."

"Can't you think of something fun to do for once, Dipper?" Mabel commented in a whiny tone.

"Hey, solving mysteries can be fun too."

"Yeah maybe for you and Ford, you nerds were made for each other." she joked and flicked Dipper's forehead.

"Ouch..." Dipper remarked from her teasing and tugged the hat Wendy had given him last summer down, covering his forehead, "I already told you that hurts Mabel."

"Oh come on, Dipper! I thought you gained SOME muscles last summer!" Mabel laughed teasingly, "But I guess you're still as weak as ever. Maybe that's what you should work on this summer."

Dipper's face turned red of embarrassment and he covered his eyes with his hat, crossing his arms and leaned against the bench with a pout.

"Oh don't be like that, Dipper. I was only joking!" she said and nudged him a bit harshly.

Dipper didn't budge and Mabel gave in. She looked towards the end of the road and saw a vehicle coming towards the bus stop.

"Hey Dipper, I think the bus is here." Mabel said.

"No." Dipper said, sounding a bit cold.

"What do you mean 'no?'"

"I'm not going! I'm not gonna deal with you and Stan picking on me for another summer."

The bus came up to them and stopped. Above the door it read, "GRAVITY FALLS, OR".

The door opened and Mabel looked back and forth at her brother and the bus.

She had to choose between apologizing to her brother, or going to Gravity Falls. The choice wasn't that hard though. She's stuck with Dipper her whole life, but Gravity Falls only happens once every year.

"Come on, Waddles." Mabel said, "Let's go."

Mabel stood up and grabbed her suitcase. She looked over at her brother one more time, "I'm going now~!" Mabel noted aloud to him in a sing-song voice.
