—————Fera POV

Flames crawled along the sides of the staff, water dripping down in front of me and hissing as they are evaporated by the heated ground surrounding my feet.

I heard a pop and turned. The Guardians stood before me, all but Frost and Percy. They looked at me and Jack's staff, eyes widening and drawing their weapons.

"Give us the staff. You can have your stupid box." The Easter bunny snarled.

"I don't need that ugly thing, Pitch surely doesn't, he's dead." Toothina gasped and the others looked at me in shock.

I laughed and saw the Bunny's arm twitch, knowing the signal, I jumped to the side as a boomerang flew past me.

I stuck out my hand and fire spiralled upward, into the tree and catching them aflame. The forest was going to burn dowm too then.

I grabbed the staff and lunged at Toothina, the closest Guardian. She flew up to avoid the flaming staff and kicked out her foot, which I dogged.

A golden whip crackled and I saw it come from my right, I hit it with the staff and it left a small gash in the burning wood.

Sandy looked at it in horror, knowing he had caused his friend pain. I grinned, but it was shortly gone as I heard the swish of a blade, I turned with the staff held protectively in front of me.

The swords came so close to breaking the fragile staff, but Bunny flung out a boomerang, which hit the swords and moved them enough, not to touch the staff at all.

I threw a flaming ball at the wretched animal, which the Bunny dodged and I turned, only to find an angry fairy in front of me. She kicked me in the chest and I flew backwards.

Slamming into a burning tree. It fell forward and I rolled out the way, as well as the Guardians. The tree crashed into the ground and embers and smoke flew up. I could heard them coughing in the thick smoke.

I frowned, the embers and smoke didn't effect me, but I still couldn't see anything.

That was until I saw a golden whip lash forward and wrap itself around Frost's staff. It lanked and I let go, not strong enough to keep it within my grasp.

I yelled out in anger and sent flames the direction the whip had came, but I didn't heard any screams of pain. I stood still, listening to the forest burn, sounds of the Guardians no longer heard.

—————Tooth POV

We dropped down a hole and reappeared in North's workshop. Some smoke came with us, but not enough to cloud our vision. I looked around.

Sandy held Jacks misshapen staff and knelt next Jack, who was covered in circulating water and was shivering. Percy sat next to then, sweating.

North, Bunny, and I all walked to them and knelt. Sandy held out the burnt staff to Jack, who gently took it in his hands. The water moving to support his movements.

Jack held it and stared at it, frost spiralling over the thin, burnt, wood, and turning it cold once more. Jack started to sweat hard again and his face held a look of exhaustion and concentration.

I was about to tell his to take a break, but then Percy reached over, water droplets following his hand. He gripped the staff and water slithered over it, freezing as it met with Jack's pale hand.

They worked together and soon, ice covered Jack's staff, twisting as the wood used to and meeting with the thickest part of wood in the middle and coming to a stop.

Jack collapsed backward and leaned heavily against North's desk onve more. Percy sat back too, retracting the water that covered Jack.

I looked at them both and frowned. I scooted forward, until I was between them and reached for both of the with one arm, grabbing them around the arm and pulling them to me.

I almost gagged because of their stench and the sweat that was now all over me, but I didn't and instead hugged them both tightly.

They retreating and I stood up, looking down at the two shocked teenagers. I smirked and them left the room, but not before I told them something.

"Go and clean yourselves up, your disgusting." I told them and left the room.

They were like my children and I would protect them with my life.

————Bunny POV

I burst out laughing as soon as Tooth left the room. Percy and Jack looked at me and scowled.

"Go clean up my children!" I said to them mockingly, taking on a high pitched voice.

North and Sandy grinned and looked at the teenagers cheekily.

"I'm 314!" Jack protested.

"Nope! Once you die a teen, your a teen forever." North said.

Jack shook his head and tried to be angry, but a smile sneaked up on his face. Percy just sat there, smiling sadly, but then he looked at Jack and grinned mischievously.

"Oh no!" Jack said, seeing the look on Percy's face.

He scrambled to his feet and Percy just sat there innocently, watching Jack try to stand.

Jack failed.

Jack fell over and grabbed the nameplate on North's desk, trying to catch himself. But it fell with him and he hit the floor laying on his back.

We all bursted out laughing, besides Sandy who simply smiled and shook his head. Jack groaned and stuck his tongue out.

"Vat did I tell you? A teenager, he is!" North laughed at Jack's imature retaliation.

Jack lifted up his head and scowled at North, before dropping his head back down and groaning again.

Tooth walked back in and saw us all laughing, as well as the defeated teenager laying on the ground.

We all stopped laughing and Tooth huffed, walking over to Percy and Jack and hoisting them up by their ear. She glared at us once more and walked out the room, dragging the two young Guardians with her.

I looked at Sandy and he grinned. We both then looked at North and we all started laughing again.

—————Fera POV

I raged out the forest, into the night sky and glared at the moon.

"Why did you have to make me the villain?" I yelled at it angrily.

"I hate you! I'll kill all your stupid heroes! Give me something, anything to even the odds and I'll make this a battle worth your time!" I demanded.

Immediately the shadows creeped up to me and I stepped back in fear. They came at me from all sides and I tried create fire and cast them away with light, but they still came, right through my fire and they touched my feet.

A feeling of comfort came over me and I eased into the shadows. It was the same feeling that I had when I first stood in a fire.

Pitch doesn't control the darkness anymore.

I do.
