STORY DESCRIPTION:
MELODY WESTER had been through hell. She had witnessed the death of her mother first hand, finding out about the supernatural at the simple age of seven. Of course, she had always believed in ghosts, and spirits, but not werewolves, vampires, etcetera. The day her mother got bit by one, trying to save her daughter from the terrifying creature was the day her father changed into a completely different person.
He blamed Melody for her mother's death, he blamed her for everything. He was abusive towards her, more mentally than physically―︎but if he reached a point where he couldn't look at her without being disgusted, it became physical. She looked exactly like her mother did; long blonde hair, the most gorgeous smile, the same face shape. Melody was the exact replica of Madison Wester, and her father loathed her for it.
She had been in third grade when her mother was killed, and that's when her gorgeous smile was no longer seen. It hadn't been seen since third grade, and her once best friend―︎Stiles Stilinski―︎was worried for her. He missed her, he missed her smile, he missed her laugh, he missed seeing the girl he had been in love with since Kindergarten be happy. But most of all, he missed her. Over time, Melody removed herself from her old friends, opting to stay friendless so as to not be a burden to anyone.
That's when Lydia Martin appeared and forced the girl into her small popular friend group. And once high school hit, Melody and Lydia were best friends. Melody would fake a laugh and a smile, trying to show everyone that she was fine―︎trying to show that nothing bad was happening at home, that like Lydia she had the most perfect life that a person could have. But that wasn't the case, and she so desperately wished it was.
Stiles Stilinski had always watched Melody from afar, his heart having been torn when she decided to stop talking to him all together. He watched as she faked her laughed and her smiles, nobody ever noticing that they never reached her eyes. But Stiles noticed. He noticed, and he wanted to help her, he just didn't know how.
When Scott McCall gets bit by a werewolf, things in Beacon Hills seem to go to shit. And now, with Stiles trying to balance his time between helping Scott with his werewolf problem and making sure his ex-best friend was okay, he was starting to become overwhelmed. And to his surprise, the only person that seemed to notice was Melody. And now she was trying to help him, whilst at the same time he was trying to help her. Neither of them knowing how, and neither knowing the dangers that were lying ahead of them.
NOTES:
-Melody and Stiles used to be really close when they were younger, like Scott and Stiles close, but after everything that happened with her mother she doesn't talk to him or Scott anymore.
-Melody doesn't trust easy and she doesn't really show emotion that often. Most the time she's just monotone, or sarcastic. When she does show emotion, it's only at home when she's in her room and trying to hide from her father.
-When she finds out about what Scott is, she has a really strong hate for him. She has a hate for all supernatural creatures for obvious reasons.
-She was seven when her mother was attacked and she was there to witness it so she has PTSD from that as well as mental scars from it.
-Her father is VERY rude and abusive towards Melody. He downs her and cusses at her more than he does hit her, but on occasion it does happen.
-This is a very slow-burn story. Like the first two seasons are Stiles and Melody being awkward acquaintances, third season they finally become friends again-before the whole void Stiles thing happens-, and from there you can decide when they become more than friends.
