STORY DESCRIPTION:

JASMINE LOCKWOOD had been alone since the whole ordeal of people dying and coming back has started. Almost immediately her family had been slaughtered and she was forced to teach herself how to protect herself. She taught herself how to shoot a gun―︎hence the reason she almost always covered in gunpowder―︎,how to use a knife without accidentally stabbing herself as well as throwing a knife from a long distance.

Three years into being alone and needing a place to hide, Jasmine finds herself stumbling upon a prison. From what she could see, it was free of walkers minus the ones that would bunch up against the gate. And then, she noticed the people. There was a group of people that were inside, keeping the walkers from knocking down the gate as well as keeping the prison as nice looking as you could keep a prison with limited resources.

She had hoped no one would notice her standing there, watching with slight longing at the sight of people she knew thought of one another as family. And then from inside the gate, a boy with a sheriff's hat had caught her eyes, standing there and staring at her until he spoke, grabbing someone's attention. It was like all the attention was on her, and she didn't like it one bit. But she had no where to run.

She had been chased by someone, they called him the Governor she believed. She had been placed inside of their little sanctuary, only to escape and to be ran after. But she was good at confusing people. She sent them one way whilst making a run for the opposite direction which landed her at the feet of the prison. They let her in. She was just a kid, nearing ten years old. Rick Grimes couldn't just let a kid be on her own in a cruel world like this.

So, she joined them, but she stayed as far away as possible. She got her own food, she did her own separate job. She was better off being alone and she knew it. Or at least, that's what had been screwed into her brain since the death of her family. Carl Grimes would watch her from afar, the pretty brunette peaking his interest. He wondered why she was destined to want to stay alone. What had happened that made her not trust anyone or anything?

It became his goal to find out about this girl. All he wanted was for her to know that she wasn't alone anymore, or rather, she didn't have to be. She was as much family as everyone else, whether she wanted to be or not. And so, the girl with gun powder painting her clothes and a neutral expression constantly covering her face became a new person in the family that had been together for almost three years. And she couldn't help but admit, that she really really liked it.

NOTES:

-Jasmine was only seven/eight when her family was killed, so she was forced to grow up really really fast.

-Under the rough and protected shield Jasmine has built herself, she really is a gentle and soft spoken person, even though she does look like she won't hesitate to stab you if you look at her wrong.

-Jasmine stayed in the Governor's sanctuary for about a week before finding out how truly corrupt it was and then making her escape which was when they started going after her in hopes of the girl not telling anyone, but she escaped them and stumbled on the prison.

-Maggie and Glenn are the ones that take the girl under their wing, so basically she becomes almost like a child to them.

-It takes a little while for Jasmine to come around, but when she finally does so, she creates a strong friendship with Carl and Beth.

-When Glenn and Maggie both get taken by the Governor, Jasmine loses it slightly seeing as they've become her "parents" and she's started to care for them just as much as they care for her.

-This is probably going to be a slow-burn story, but medium-burn would work too.
