(Sorry for her zoning out a lot in all the chapters, it's part of her ADHD)

I must have fallen asleep, because the next thing I knew, it was morning and Harry was shaking me awake. I wasn't sure where we were, but Hagrid was there, meaning that my dreams weren't dreams and they were actually real.

"Come on, we've got to go get our stuff for school!" I rubbed my eyes as he pulled me. I wasn't fully awake until we had entered a pub of some sort. It was dark, almost no light at all. It was loud with people chattering and drinking. It smelled strange- like honey and ash.

I kept one hand tightly around Harry's and the other in the pocket of one of my only flannel's.  "Ah, Hagrid!" A voice cut in over the loud chatter. I looked up and saw a man behind the counter looking at us. "Usual I presume?" So Hagrid goes here often...interesting. I looked up at Hagrid as he spoke. "No thanks, Tom. I'm on official Hogwarts business. Just helping young Harry and Clementine here buy their school supplies!" The man's jaw dropped. "Bless my soul..It's Harry Potter!"

The pub went silent and everyone turned to us. People began crowding Harry and I, they kept trying to shake Harry's hand and asking him questions. Despite it all, Harry kept a firm grip on my hand, making sure I didn't go anywhere. He managed to push me behind him as people started leaving to go whisper excitedly to each other. Hagrid pushed us forward to a man with a dark purple turban wrapped around the back of his head. I'm not sure why, but something was pulling me towards him like a magnet.

"Harry P-P-Potter, can't tell you how please I am to finally meet you." The man stuttered. "Hello, Professor! I didn't see you there. Harry, Clementine, this is Professor Quirrel. He will be your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts." Hagrid boomed from behind us. I stuck out my hand, trying to be polite. I nudged Harry and he did the same. "Nice to meet you." I said and he nodded, taking my hand but not Harry's. As soon as he touched me, I felt a seering pain shoot up my arm. I flinched my hand back and saw him do the same.

"What is- y-y-your na-name?" He stuttered once more. "Um, Clementine. Clementine Pot-" I caught myself. "Clementine Black." He nodded slightly and stuttered a few things I couldn't understand. Harry pulled me back and whispered in my ear.

  "Your hair is glowing."

My neck shot towards him, confusion etched into it no doubt. He took my white strand of hair and pushed it in front of his face. He was right, it was glowing, a soft light white. I took the strand into my grasp, observing it as it slowly went back to normal.

"Well, we must be off now. Lot's to buy." Hagrid's voice shook me from my thoughts. Harry and I said goodbye to our Professor, and off we went.

"See, Harry? You're famous." Hagrid said as we left the building through the back. "But why am I famous? Why isn't Clem? All those people back there- how is it they know who I am but not her?" Hagrid glanced back at us. "Not sure if I'm the right person to tell ye that, Harry." He then took his pink umbrella and tapped the brick wall multiple places. We watched as it slowly opened, revealing a large crowd of bustling people.

  "Welcome, kids, to Diagon Alley."

We walked around, Hagrid telling us where we could buy stuff and what we needed for school. We continued walking, and a question popped into my mind. "But Hagrid, how are we to pay for all this? We haven't any money." He grinned and looked at me for a second and then back, pointing to a  large tilted off-white building. "Well, there's your money! Gringotts, the wizard bank!"

We slowly shuffled inside. I glanced around, astounded. There were very short people with pointy ears and short graying hair stamping things and bustling about, doing their jobs. "Uh, Hagrid? What are these things?" Harry asked, wondering the same thing I was. "Goblins, Harry. Clever as they come, goblins. But not the most friendly of beasts. Better stay close." As soon as he said that, I was glued to his and Harry's sides, right in the middle.
