Levi pulled up to Kyle's house. It was late in the evening and he was going to be getting on a plane in an hour. He needed to tell his friends bye. He shut off the engine and got out, walked right into the house and stopped in his tracks. Kyle and Liam were standing in the living room watching a video on how to tie a tie.
Liam was in a tux and Kyle was trying to follow the instructions of the man on the screen.
"What are you two doing?" He asked and they looked over at him.
"I don't know what I'm doing." Liam groaned, his head falling back. Levi walked over and pushed Kyle's hands out of the way. He undid the knot they'd worked into it and tied the tie.
"Where are you going all dressed up?" He tucked the tie into the jacket.
"I have a date but she is way out of my league. She's used to this kind of thing and I don't even know how to tie a damn tie!" He pulled on the jacket hem, trying to straighten invisible wrinkles.
"Who is she? If she's choosing to go out with you then she already knows who you are. Don't overthink it. Just be yourself." He patted his friend's shoulders.
"It's Vee. Veronica. I don't even know how it happened. We've had this thing between us for sometime but last night." He smiled and shook his head.
"You both got some last night, you lucky bastards." Kyle said. "And I can't believe you went home with Sam! That was my dream, man!" He lightly punched Levi in the shoulder. "Was she any good?"
Levi got uncomfortable with the way Kyle was talking about her. He didn't want anyone thinking about her like she was just a fuck. She was so much more than that but he also knew that if he didn't say something, Kyle would never shut up. "She was better than good." He winked and turned back to Liam. "Listen, Liam, Veronica is a good girl. If she wants to go out with you, go."
"I know. I'm just worried that she won't really like me or she'll be disappointed. I don't come from the same world as y'all do."
Levi shook his head. "Don't think like that. Just live in the moment and be happy." He wished he could take his own advice. He wanted nothing more than to drive down the road and take Sam with him to England.
Liam nodded and then someone knocked on the door. Kyle answered it and Veronica walked in. "Liam! You look so handsome!" She said as she kissed his cheek, then looked up at Levi with a grin. "Heard you had a great night." Her perfectly waxed brow lifted.
"Did she say something to you?" He couldn't help the happiness that welled inside of him at knowing she was talking about their night together.
"She did. Five times, Levi, that's a record for her! Did she let you do her favorite thing?" He knew what she was talking about but he didn't want to say it out loud. Levi felt like he was spreading rumors about her. He nodded and smiled. She laughed. "Of course she did!"
"Wait! What's her favorite thing?" Kyle jumped in, all too eager to learn about Sam in the bedroom. Levi turned to tell him to leave it alone but Veronica was talking first.
"She loves to take it deep in the throat." Vee laughed as Kyle's eyes went wide and his jaw dropped.
"No way!"
Levi pushed his friend. "Stop thinking about her like that. I mean it and don't you dare tell anyone. This stays here, between us. We don't need to slander her name around town. If I hear this got out, I'll know it was one of you three and I'll use my name to take all of you down. Do you hear me?" He glared at all of them. This was something he was serious about. "That's not a threat. It's a promise."
