I think that instead
I should be the one
to inform you
to not worry
since I am not mad,
I am not hurt
I can look past
your misguided advice
and see your well-intentioned love
so if you do speak,
I won't be listening
instead, I will bask
in the warmth of your time
and the strength of your presence
