Be strong,
Be brave.
Is what they say.
Well, easier said,
Then done. . .
How can I be strong?
When each time I rise,
They make me fall. . . !
Be brave,
Speak your mind.
Speak my mind?
No one listens,
No one cares,
It's just a waste of time!
I never said,
Change would come fast.
It takes resilience.
How can you expect,
Someone to rescue you,
When. . .
They don't even know you're there.
You don't make your voice known,
So they can't hear your pleads,
Your cries for help. . .
You don't speak out,
You don't act out.
You become an invisible victim. . .
A victim that can't be seen,
Means bullies who don't exist,
You let them get away with it. . .
Sitting and crying,
Is a real waste of time.
What's it get you?
Hmmm?
That's right,
Nothing.
Keeping your head held high,
Not backing down,
Makes the difference.
It causes a commotion,
Something they can see,
Something they can hear,
A problem they know,
They have to fix!
But. . .
No buts,
Either give up.
Become depressed,
Unhappy with yourself,
The light of hope inside of you,
Blown out.
Or. . .
Become the beacon,
Of hope you need!
Don't be the invisible victim.
Be the hero,
Who brought bullying to everyone's attention.
Save yourself,
And others just like you.
Don't play the invisible victim. . . !
You can stand up for yourself, without stooping to their level.
The words in italics are from the pov of someone going through bullying or misjudgment. No one should be bullied, but some are. A lot of people do their best to help make it stop, but some are too young to understand the situation, while other times they don't even realize it's happening. Some kids are cruel an smart enough to keep the situation quiet.
The words that aren't italicized are words of encouragement. It's hard to take what they take and it's easy for them to have a pity party, but they have to know that after they have that pity party they have to take action. Or it will be nothing but a pattern on repeat. Bullying and crying for yourself. Maybe they think they won't get help, if that's the case they have to help themself. Because the people around them are only focused on themself and don't see what's happening, or aren't looking closely.
Sometimes it is obvious but others were ignorant, other times, they never knew it was happening. That's why you should stand up for yourself. Even if those that hear ignore it, there will be someone who hears and takes action. It won't happen overnight, but you will end up being happy. You will have that weight off your shoulders. If you're not ready to speak out to the people around you, speak out online. You will receive the support and advice you need. That's all for today's poem.
Stay safe guys, love you all! <3<3<3
