He clutched the doll closer towards his chest. A hero, the doll is modeled after a hero and these people is saying he's going to become one. But heroes save people right? He already save people in danger. He saved them and risked his feathers. He risked something precious to him, isn't that heroic? He's already a hero, so why would they make him one?
They're saying it's a job. It would make a decent amount of money. His parents wanted money. They would leave him alone all day and night for money. Whenever they're home they would fight over it, saying over and over again that they needed it most than the other. If he got them money doesn't that mean he help his parents too? They could walk him to and from school. They wouldn't come back late except from going to the movies together. Accepting this offer means he would help his parents too. He's saving more people. He can become a hero!
But if he agree, they said he needed to train. That means it takes time out of his day. He wouldn't be able to play at home. He wouldn't be able to watch movies together with his parents. He couldn't feed the bird he found at the park. If another incident like yesterday happened again, he wouldn't be there to save someone again.
He doesn't think he can make the choice. He can wait until high school. What is more, he heard that patience is ....something which means good.
"Of course! He would gladly be a hero!"
"After all, at this day and age, who doesn't want to be a hero?"
He doesn't have a choice after all. The only choice he had, was by his best friend.

"Kei!" Hawks looked at Touya... he was being engulfed by raging hot blue flames. Flames that were burnining away his feathers. They hurt. Hurt a lot. "Kei!!!!"

Hawks could only stare as Touya was engulfed in the flames. He tried to reach out to him. He was so close. So close....
But he missed...
Hawks could only watch as he was pulled back by some of the agents, watched his best friend fall into the flames as part of the building fell. He couldn't do anything. That's when he swore he never fail again.

Touya stared at Hawks was in flames. "Touya! Come with me!" Hawks begged trying to let them both escape. Hawks pleaded in his eyes.
"Kei! We can be heros together! Just come with me! We can be better!" Touya restated reaching out his hand. Only for hawks to swipe it away.
"They took my name. My childhood. My life! Everything! I can't go back! I will NEVER go back!"
Right when those words were spoken a massive part of the building fell, as Touya was taken away by the agents, screaming out his best friends name.
