This is going to come up again with other Kokichi ships, but I really don't like that grape gremlin. He's kind of funny, but he harasses Miu constantly and tricks Kaito and Gonta into sacrificing their lives, and since I love all three of those beautiful morons more than I love select members of my family, I'm not exactly a fan. That being said, let's get into the chapter.
One of the most popular ships in the fandom, emo detective boy x a literal rat, and I'm going to put my life on the line here by announcing to the few people who read this shit that I don't like it. In theory it's kind of nice - Shuichi could help Kokichi work through his many, many issues and maybe get him to stop killing people all the time - but Shuichi's primary attitude toward Kokichi is just sheer frustration and confusion, which is reasonable but also kind of prevents the two from ever getting together. If Shuichi was the only one who could see through Kokichi's lies or wanted to get through to Kokichi and help him out, it'd be a different story, but he's not and he doesn't. Kokichi clearly likes Shuichi, but Shuichi absolutely does not feel the same.
That being said, if they somehow did manage to get together, I have to admit they'd be pretty cute. I haven't thought about it too much, but yeah, they would be a good couple. I still don't like it, but I can see why people do and have to respect it.
