Soldier bby x egg bby = sheer beauty. Mukuro is probably in my top 5 characters, and Makoto is the cutest protagonist by far. I love them both, and they'd be absolutely perfect together.
Plus, her crush on him is semi-canon. Confirmed in Danganronpa IF, which I know isn't a canon installment, but I look at it this way: it's a non-canon scenario with canon personalities. Meaning it's the same characters with the same personalities, but in a non-canon situation. Because of that, each character's relationship dynamics would stay the same with maybe some minor changes, and Mukuro would end up with a crush on Makoto either way. Did that make sense? Probably not, but it made sense in my brain.
We don't get to see too much of Mukuro in the main series and she's just a total doormat in DR3, but in Danganronpa IF we actually get her POV, and since that's her canon personality just in an alternate universe, that's an accurate display of her character. She's a shy adorable bean who deserves more love.
And yes, I know she murdered a ton of people, including an entire middle school. But I don't have to think about that because I get to be in denial if I want to, damn it.
Just - Makoto's friendly, outgoing, normal personality combined with her shy, reserved one - that's kind of a recipe for perfection, isn't it? So fucking cute.
