Hooooo boy. Where to start? Well, my name is (y/n). My best friends are mark, barry, and of course, david. David and I have known each other much longer than either of us knew mark or barry. Long story short, the whole cliche 'I have a crush on my best friend!' deal.

I had about three energy drinks today and I seemed like if I were to sit still, the world would implode on itself. So I'm sitting under the elder rock. And I'm tapping. A lot. I'm tapping my feet on the ground, my hands on the chair I was sitting in, and other various ways of tapping. You name it, i was doing it. But the energy drinks weren't the only thing making me seem like i was late on curfew. I had to decided to tell david I liked him.

So yeah this is where the fun begins. Mark and barry were already there with me. We had sent david to pick up some drinks from the trading tree. When he came back, he handed us our drinks. I was handed my fourth energy drink.

"You know, I dont think is is very good for your health to drink so many of these things, (y/n)." David said with some uncertainty.

"Well, you must not be that worried, seeing as you agreed to get me another one." I said, opening the drink.

"Well, I had to. You were the only one with stuff that kit would accept." He said whilst opening and sipping at his drink.

"True." I take a large gulp of the energy drink in my hands.

"Are you okay? I have never seen you consume so many energy drinks in a week. Let alone a day." Barry asked from across the room. (I guess that would be correct terminology for whatever this is we are in)

"Huh? Oh, me? Yeah, I'm fine. I just didn't get enough sleep." I lied smoothly. It was a believable lie because both mark and barry get three a.m. meme texts. I dont do that to david because I want him to get enough sleep.

The other three men in the room looked at each other and shrugged.

"I'm just gonna be honest here, you get way to crazy when you drink energy drinks." Mark said.

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Would you rather me overly crazy or overly cranky? Pick your poison." I take another gulp of my drink.

"I just hope you dont stay up late tonight. We have school tomorrow, and the last thing you need when you're tired is school." He said. I knew he was more worried about the other people's safety. I am really REALLY mean when I'm sleepy.

"School. Noun. An unnecessary building full of unwilling confinement and endless work of which puts too much stress on the near zombie students." I say. I hated school. I hated it with a burning passion too.

As our conversation continued, the less confident I was about telling david I liked him. Especially with mark and barry around. My anxiety was through the roof. I decided to wait and see how I felt the next day.

It was about eight in the morning. While walking to school, I seemed calm, but not tired. But oh no, do not be mistaken. On the inside I was screaming. I was walking with david.

"Hey, david?" I said quietly.

"Yeah?" He gave me a small smile, and my heart just--- A.

"I wa- I was just wondering if...." I said just loud enough for him to hear.

"If what?" He said, making me realize that I stopped talking.

I opened my mouth to speak, but got interrupted by mark. He came walking to us quickly. "Hey, guys. What are you up to?"

David shrugged. "Oh, nothing. Just talking. (Y/n) was just about to ask me something though." He said, looking at me to ask my question.

"Nevermind. It can wait." I say. I look at the ground and wished I had asked a little sooner.

We continue walking, barry joining us along the way. We were chatting all the way to school. I went to my first block and stared off into space. The classes went by bell by annoying bell. It was lunch and I was the first one in the cafeteria. I got my food and sat down at an empty table with four chairs.

David soon joined me. He sat down and brushed his perfect hair out of his face. I loved his hair. It looked so soft. I have never touched it, surprisingly. But anyway. I had decided to give asking him out another shot.

"Hey, david. About this morning. I was about to ask you if---"

"Hey, guys!"

Barry! You have such horrible timing! I look down at my food and start eating. Mark and barry sat down across from me and david. I stayed silent and ate as they talked about the most recent episode of a show they liked. I just wish I could have one moment alone with david. Just one.

The bell rung for us to go back to class. And again, we continue our grueling school schedule.

Finally! The end of the day! I should have plenty of time to get david alone for at least a moment. I met david, barry, and mark at the front of the school.

Barry, mark, and I started to walk home. David grabbed my sleeve for me to stay at the front of the school.

Mark and barry looked at him. Barry looked at him curiously. "Arent you coming to the elder rock with us?" He asked.

"I will in a minute. You guys go ahead. We'll catch up. I just need to speak to (y/n) real quick." He said with an innocent tone.

The other two males shrugged and walked off. Once no one was around, david looked at me with a small smile.

"So I'm assuming you were trying to say you like me earlier?" He said suddenly.

My eyes widen and I blush at his comment. "Wh- how did you know?!" I exclaimed in shock.

"(Y/n), I'm not as dumb as I come across. I notice a lot of things that most people dont." He said, still smiling. God, he is just such a soft boi!

"Well... since you guessed, what do you have to say?" I asked, expecting the worst.

He tilted my head up by my chin and got close to my face.

"I just have this to say. I love you. With all my heart. While I haven't prepared a huge speech about it like in literally anime ever, I want you to be my boyfriend. So, will you?" He said with a slight blush on his face.

I hug him and nod. "Of course! It's all I've ever wanted!"

"Really?! That worked?! Oh, I was scared the whole time, you have no idea." He says, breathing out a sigh of relief.

I laugh at this new bit of information. "You are just so geeky." I grab his hand. "Come on. Mark and barry are probably waiting on us." I say as we walk to the elder rock.
