Ch. 3

Amity

My heart dropped into my stomach as I realized that it was my girlfriend laying there on the ground, looking lifeless. There was bruising around her neck, like someone had choked her. I could only think of one reason why her leggings and underwear would be pulled down. My stomach turned as I thought about Luz being put through such hell. I bawled my eyes out as I untaped Luz's hands and pulled her bottom clothing back on her. After that, I tried to wake her up.

"Luz? Luz, please wake up! It's me, Ami!"

I yelled as I kept crying. I saw her eyes open a tiny bit, giving me enough satisfaction that she was definitely alive.

"Amity?"

She responded in a low whisper.

"Yeah, it's me, baby girl. I'm gonna get you back to Eda's, okay?"

I said through my tears.

"No..."

"No? Why no?"

I asked her.

"Please, Ami... Let me die."

I started crying harder as she said those three words.

"No! Luz, stop saying things like that!"

I yelled at her as it began to pour down rain. I held my girlfriend as close to me as I could as I sobbed. I hated that she wanted to take her own life away. But I wasn't going to let her.

"I don't wanna live to remember this, Ami.."

"Please, Luz! I love you, please stop! I told you I'd never let anything bad happen to you!"

I pleaded.

"Then why did you let me get raped?"

That question... I felt like my heart was torn to pieces. I hoped she didn't really mean that.

"Luz..."

"I'm sorry, Ami. Forget that question, I'm sorry!"

Luz said, sending a wave of relief over me.

"Let's get you back home, okay?"

I carried my girlfriend back to the owl house and got Hooty to let me inside.

"Miss Eda?! King?!"

I yelled throughout the house as I set Luz on the couch.

"Luz, you're home. Wake up, please."

"Ugh, what's happening?"

I heard a familiar voice say. I turned to see it was King.

"King! Please, I need Ms. Eda! Something happened with Luz!"

I told him as I cried.

"Okay, okay. I'll get her."

While King went up to get Eda, I stayed with Luz and noticed how beaten her face looked. She had a hand print on the left side of her face, a left black eye, and bruising on the left side of her nose. Her eye seemed to be the worst.

"Amity?"

I heard another familiar voice. As I turned around again, I saw the Owl Lady.

"Ms. Eda!"

"What's wrong with Luz?!"

She asked with a lot of worry in her voice.

"When I was walking around town and about to head home, I saw Luz laying in a small dark alley..."

I explained to Eda as I sobbed more and kept running my hand through Luz's short brown hair.

"Her hands were duct taped behind her and her leggings and underwear were pulled down on her part of the way!"

Eda's eyes went wide as I told her that part.

"She's been beaten in the face, and there's a rectangle mark around her mouth. You can tell her mouth was taped too."

I couldn't believe when I saw the Owl Lady crying. That told me how much she cared for Luz, like she was her own.

After about a half hour, Luz was finally awake. I wanted to hold her in my arms so bad, but after what happened to her, I didn't know if it was okay for me to suddenly grab her like that.

"Luz! Baby, are you okay?!"

I asked in a worried tone.

"No, because I remember what happened..."

She said as she sat up and let tears begin to stream down her face. I sat next to her on the couch and gently touched her hand.

"I'm so sorry, love. Are you okay with me hugging you?"

I asked to make sure.

"All I want is your touch, Ami."

She said as she layed her head on my shoulder and wrapped her arms around my waist. I pulled her into my arms as much as possible and let my head rest on top of hers.

"Amity..."

Eda spoke.

"Why don't you stay here tonight? I think Luz really needs you right now."

"Please stay, Ami..."

Luz said after Eda.

"Yes, of course I'll stay, baby girl. I was gonna ask if I could anyway."

I told Luz as I continued to hold her.

"I'm not leaving you, babe. Never."

We arrived at school together the next day, though I tried to tell Luz that Eda was fine with her staying home today. I had planned to even stay there with her, but Luz insisted on going. She didn't want to talk to anyone but me, not even Willow and Gus. As I saw Boscha walking past us, I tried to avoid eye contact, but of course, she decided to say something fucked up.

"Hey, Luz! Heard you got layed pretty good last night!"

"What the actual FUCK?!"

I yelled, pissed way off. Luz immediately ran out the main doors of the school as tears poured out of her eyes. Before I went after her, I decided to deal with Boscha first.

"Alright, bitch! Why the fuck would say that to her, and why would you even know?!"

I asked, screaming in her face.

"Please, you're lucky I didn't say what really happened. I may have paid a friend of mine to rape the stupid human. Not like she was gonna get any any other way. I basically did her a favor."

Every word that came out of Boscha's mouth just angered me more and more. I was furious. I clinched my fists as I bared my fangs and felt my face heating up. After a few seconds, my vision went red as I punched Boscha in the face as hard as I could. Her head hit the wall as she went down, and I growled lowly. I really wanted to do more harm to that bitch, but I knew I needed to go check on my girlfriend. Before I did, I got down on one knee and grabbed Boscha by her throat and made her look at me.

"I've warned your bitch ass multiple times, but I'll warn you one last time. If you ever fuck with me, my friends, or my girlfriend again, you've had it, Boscha. I am not playing with you, bitch. Don't fucking cross me!"

I ran outside as I summoned my scroll and called Luz. I was so glad that she answered.

"Luz! Baby, where the fuck are you?"

"I'm at our spot. Please hurry here, Amity. I fucked up, I fucked up so bad. I need you."

She told me through her sobs and panicking.

"Okay, I'm on my way right now."

I hung up and hauled ass to mine and Luz's spot. When I got there, I saw what she meant when she said she fucked up...
