"Come back here!" a short dark-brown haired boy called out, running across the yard that was filled with about 100 other children.
"No way!" another kid exclaimed, running away from the other with his arms up in the air, "Can't catch me I'm the ginger-bread man!"
The two were sprinting across the yard at the speed of light, as the chaser-boy yelled, "You ain't made of ginger though!"
"Says who? My mommy's ginger-bread men are much better than your mums!" the other male replied loudly.
"Hay! No being rude to my mum!" the hazel-eyed boy exclaimed in response, catching up in speed - only being about an arms-length away from him, except the 'arm' would be an adults arm, "You-"~ Somewhere Else ~
"What should we do?!" the one in grey & green whispered curiously, his heart beating at quite the speed, "Thomas can't just let the guy insult him, plus - I could think of 50 better ways to insult their mum!"
The boy next to him had a crooked pair of glasses dangling from his orange bow-tie, "Simple, fight back."
"Good idea!" the other agreed energetically, jumping into the air & landing back on his feet - raising their hand into the air.
A green-coloured glow danced around his arm, before he swang it forward - an orange burst joining it (which had been made in a similar fashion, expect without the big leap) & the line of magic flew out of their sight into the grey-sky beyond the balcony.~ Back in the Previous Location ~
"You'll pay for that!" he jumped into the air, a surprising & somewhat scary amount of energy jolting out of him - as he landed on top of the other's back, a short but loud cry bolting out of the one who'd just been squashed, "No one insults my mo-"
Thomas got off of the boy, who pushed himself off of the ground before whispering, "Why'd you do that? You're dangerous!"
The dark-brown haired male froze before running away from his friend, but before getting even just a meter away from him - the other exclaimed, "You're not a friend! Friends aren't dangerous!"
Those words echoed throughout the fleeing boy's mind, literally...~ In the ####-##### ~
"What in the-" a boy who had a half-green face spoke quietly, before exclaiming, "Robozzo!"
The male ran down the grey hall, passing by three doors (one dark purple, one yellow & one orange) as he approached the black door at the end of the hall - kicking it to the ground.
"Get OUT!" he demanded, the boy to the left turned to face the intimidating person behind him.
The one who'd just looked around stuttered;
"De..."
The male with a black-hat on his head pulled the terrified persona behind his cape, a light blue mist popping out of nowhere after 'De' snapped his fingers.
Another dark-brown haired boy appeared within the cloud, wearing an aqua-coloured t-shirt with a large-grey jacket around his waist.
"Remus!" he exclaimed, running up to him & trapping him into a warm hug - being pulled backwards after a second, "Hallway tomorrow at six - got it?"
The phrase was stern & emotionless, the one who'd said it staring the half-snake in the eyes.
"Got it." The other spoke back, before turning around & swiftly pulling the orange-themed side back into the colourless hall.
The caped-side threw his arm backwards, a yellow gust of magic pulling the door back into place like a rope lifting a log into the air - but a lot faster & without the physical strings."Never go in there again, you could've gotten yourself or someone else killed!" the yellow-themed side scolded, the other nodding slightly, "*sigh* You know that this is for your own good, right 'bozzo?"
"Yeah..." the orange-themed persona trailed off, before wrapping his finger-less gloved arms around the parent-figure, "Thank you."
The half-snake smiled, before walking down the hall & approaching the purple door, "Virgil, are you alright?"
No answer was given to the one at the door, the persona behind him suggesting to go inside anyway - which he did.
Suddenly, the yellow & black side ran to the panicking boy who was curled up into a ball on the carpeted floor, "Virgil!"
"Ja...a...an...n..." the purple-themed side stuttered, his breathing going up at a rapid rate - before being pulled into a tight grasp by the other.
"Calm down Virgil, everything is going to be okay - tell me five things you can see." the parent-figure spoke quietly, the orange-themed side sitting next to him.
"Ro-bo-z-o, yo-u, th-e...the b-ed, t-he p-p-ur-ple w-w-all a-n-nd th-e f-l-l-oo-r..." Virgil spoke between breaths & tears, hugging the other's torso tightly - who then spoke again;
"Now, tell me four things you can feel..."After a few minutes, everything was a lot calmer - the violet side's room didn't look as dark as before, the walls were still purple but they didn't look like a mix of black & said colour anymore.
The three personas were on the floor next to Virgils bed, the black-hoodie wearing persona on the lap of the yellow-themed side & Robozzo leaning on said sides shoulder.
This was life for the dark-sides, it was perfect in their eyes - they couldn't wish for anything else, they couldn't see anything else.
But nothing stays the same, after all - the word 'hallway' means a lot in the mind-scape... and forever will.
