"You are way better than what I wished for."

Heer carefully followed the instructions in the video and pushed the tray into the oven. Once done, she reached her beeping phone. She perched upon the kitchen stool going through all the messages. Senior Mrs. Thakur, Misha's mother in law, had arranged for a karwa-chauth celebration at her home. Misha's messages kept updating her on what she needed to wear  carry and bring along. Misha was all tuned up for the occasion. Heer replied to the texts and then noticed the message from Raghav Dixit. An instant smile blew up on her face. Invitation for a celebration party and launch of the drama online. Coming weekend seemed to be packed. Launch party on Friday. Karwa Chauth was on Sunday so they had to be at the Thakur's mansion at Saturday night. The doorbell interrupted Heer's thoughts organization. Heer excitedly made her way to the door knowing it was Advika. She couldn't wait for Advika to eat the pasta and cookies she had made.

"Hey," Kabir greeted entering the kitchen. He had eaten lunch outside discussing a few things with Rhea over lunch. He was pleasantly suprised when Advika had opened the door for him. He was a little wary when Advika announced that she had eaten pasta that Heer had cooked, and that Heer was in the kitchen making cookies for her. On seeing his kitchen unexpectedly tidy, he took a breath of relief.

"Hi, how did your meeting go?" Heer greeted hoping he wouldn't scold her for wasting ingredients on her half baked cookies.

"Good," he replied at once, his eyes finally looking at her. His smile that had just begun to bloom faded when he noticed the pale pink chef hat and matching apron.

Heer's smile faltered. Her eyes noticed his gaze stuck on the apron. "I am sorry, if I wasn't supposed to wear this. I thought it was a spare.." she mumbled an apology getting rid off the hat.

Kabir's gaze softened, "It's okay, it is ...a spare one."

"Kabir, try this," Varsha spoke as a sleepy Kabir entered the kitchen.

"I am not trying that," Kabir mumbled hugging his wife whose baby bump had started showing prominently. His palm gently caressed her tummy over the pink apron she wore.

"I won your challenge Kabir, this tastes exactly like you made it," Varsha told him stirring the sauce.

"Let me be the judge," Kabir spoke loosening his hold on his wife so that she could turn comfortably.

"Hmm," he hummed looking at her as she fed him a spoonful of the sizzler sauce that she bad been trying to get right since the morning.

"Kabir," she snapped, "tell me, is it just as good?"

Kabir smiled, "you got it right this time."

"Are you saying that to placate me or it really did?" Varsha asked, her eyes instantly sparkling.

Kabir kissed her cheek, "You know me, Varsh, it really did come out well. Now put this into the fridge so that we can we go to sleep."

"Nope. Not yet. I want the chef hat, first. " Varsha declared adamantly.

"Uh, I don't understand your obsession for that hat," Kabir spoke walking to the cupboard to fetch it, while Varsha cleared the counter.

"There you go," he spoke making her wear the chef hat that matched the color of the apron. "Now, can you please take some rest?"
