I woke up tired and groggy ,as I always do monday morning. I got dressed and walked downstairs, to say bye to my mom and dad. My mom was busy fixing breakfast, while my dad read the newspaper. I sat in my chair and tiredly looked at the headlines on the paper that hid my dads, friendly, shadowed face. I saw something about a girl who was robbed, a house that burned down, and something particularly interesting something about a cure. "Oh! Goodness, Carrie hurry or you'll miss the the bus." My mom screamed from the kitchen. So I ran down the street to the bus stop, and just in time. As I got on the bus, there was more chatter about the 'Cure' that was discovered. I listened in and could makeout the sentence. "Cure for Death!!" I couldn't believe my ears. A cure for something that wasn't a disease or illness? Now you'd think I would be excited, but honestly I really wasn't interested in the matter. I was years from death and had no worry for it. I got to school and chatter continued even from the teachers. On the way home I continued to think about the 'Cure for death'. Was it really possible? I decided to go home and sleep on it. The next morning my parents seemed really on edge. "Guys? What's up?" I asked them. They looked at me and smiled. "Oh nothing dear." My mom lied. "Just go to school. But be very careful and don't get to close to anyone. " She warned. Ok, now I knew something was up. Why shouldn't I get to close to anyone? I went to school, and for the most part everything went on as usual. During free period, we went out into the courtyard. It was a big open area that led out, into a grassy field. But just a quarter way through the grass, was a fence we couldn't pass. But two kids, a boyfriend and girlfriend pair named Jessi Port and Michael Baring, always climbed the fence and layed in the field, just outside the fence. Once they got over today, they did what they always did, and I sat in the warm breeze, waiting for the bell to ring. I just happened to glance over the fence into the feild. I saw a man. He was walking right up tward the school. He walked with a limp and seemed to be just holding himself up. He inched closer and closer. I didn't like the looks of him. He could be dangerous. I had to Jessi and Michael!
