There has been a sudden turn of events. Please call an ambulance because I think that I am seeing things.
Amanda Carter had just slapped the face of her dear boyfriend, Jayden McCartney, aka the captain of the football team.
She looked very furious, as if she was going to burst any moment. "How can you even think of doing that to Stef? You know how fond I am of her! You! You tried to molest her!" She inquired, but Jayden hadn't recovered from Amanda's wild outburst.
She let out a huge number of cuss words, and I began to feel out of place. I quickly tried heading out, trying not to make too much noise, but someone patted me on my shoulder. I turned my head to see Amanda Carter having tears falling off her face.
"I'm glad that you stood up for my best friend. She means a lot to me, and I am grateful to you for consoling her." She told me, and I frowned in confusion.
I sighed in relief then responded to her, "It's my right to console her. And I'm glad if she is happy."
"Thank you for everything Sienna Thompson!" She shouted, after I headed out the locker room.
Talk about an eventful morning.
The day passed by at the blink of an eye. News had already spread about Amanda Carter's massive break up with Jayden McCartney. Nobody knows the reason and what had exactly happened, except Jayden, Amanda, and I. But who knows, maybe the janitor was eavesdropping?
I was laying on my bed, with thoughts swirling around in my mind. I was thinking about whether I did the right thing. I have never been the type of person to keep quiet and watch a scene going on. I would even stand up for the person I hated the most. Cameron had ever told me before, that he liked that quality of mine.
I was just about to pick my phone up, when it beeped, indicating that there was a Whatsapp message. It was from Cameron.
So, I've been wondering. Let's go this Saturday for our first date?
First date? I grew nervous. What if he thinks that I'm boring? Will he still like me afterwards? I quickly throw those questions out of my mind, when I read his next Whatsapp message.
You're so cute when you overthink things.
Oh, that's right. He's my freaking neighbour. He must be seeing me freak out. How could I forget that?
I sent him a reply.
You look cute when you stalk me. And yes, I'm up for this Saturday.
I knew that he was just next door, and I could easily see his reactions. But as much as I know him, I had a feeling that he must have had a smile on his face, showing how genuinely happy he was.
That's how well I knew him, at least.

"You look beautiful." Cameron complimented, when he stopped by my doorway that Saturday morning. Yes, morning.
I looked at myself again, and narrowed my eyes at him, "I'm not wearing anything fancy. It's just a tank top with short pants."
"I know. But, in my eyes, you are the only person that could ever make me this weak on my knees." He admitted, and I could not help but blush when he said that.
This guy was making me fall for him so hard, due to his unpreventable cuteness.
He tapped my nose with his finger, "You are so adorable."
"Yeah I know." I couldn't help but be a little modest. I think Cameron is rubbing off on me. I should have seen this coming.
"So Ms. Thompson, ready to go for an adventure?" He asked, before we headed to his jeep. This was certainly a weird date.
Maria came out of my house rushing with a bag, "Here are the things you asked for, Cam. I hope you lovebirds have fun." She said, and suddenly grew emotional. "I'm so proud of you Sienna."
I mouthed to her, "Periods?" to which she nodded. She waved at us.
I got on the Jeep and so did Cameron. After he fastened his seatbelt, making his muscles flex, I couldn't help but stare at how perfect he seemed.
I tried very hard to fasten my seatbelt, but it was unable to be pulled from its stable position. Cameron noticed this and leaned closer, forcing the seatbelt out of its position.
Before he could complete what he was doing, his eyes met with mine, and I could feel the attraction between the both of us. His head grew closer, and I couldn't control my actions as well, so I leaned in closer. My face was burning, and my heart was beating at a high speed.
The moment got ruined, sadly, when Cameron accidentally pressed the steering wheel with his body too hard, creating a honk sound. This startled the two of us, and we instantly jerked apart.
"So, would you like to hear a song?" Cameron asked, after a moment of comfortable silence.
"Is that even a question to ask?" I grinned.
He rolled his eyes, before inserting a CD into the music player. The lyrics to the next song had me grinning throughout. I couldn't help but be astonished at Cameron's choice.
One look, dark room
Meant just for you
Time moved too fast
You played it back
Buttons on a coatI hummed to the lyrics of Taylor Swift's new album song, "You are in love." It was one of the sweetest songs I've heard.
Light-hearted joke
No proof not much
But you saw enough
Small talk, he drives
Coffee at midnight,
The light reflects
The chain on your neck
He says look up
And your shoulders brush
No proof, one touch
You felt enoughYou can hear it in the silence, silence
You can feel it on the way home, way home
You can see it with the lights out, lights out
You're in love, true love
You are in loveI wonder what got Cameron silent all of a sudden. I looked out the window after the song ended, and I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. I knew these were one of the symptoms of being nervous. I couldn't help but be a little self-conscious at my appearance.
I looked to my left to see Cameron's attire properly. He was wearing dark green shorts, with a branded t-shirt. He looked different today, with a new spark in his eyes.
"We're here." He announced.
