You were dense, like, really dense.
But you weren't dense to the point where you weren't even aware of your own feelings.
Well, it wouldn't make sense if you just fell for the male lead out of the blue right? Let's backtrack to 4 weeks earlier.

What a pain...
You thought while you stood right outside your property. Your bestfriend constantly checked up on you the previous night to see if you were sleeping early. Well, if you thought about it, if you wanted to join their daily walks from now on,(which you were forced to go on may I add,) you might as well fix your sleeping schedule — something you were definitely planning on not to do.
But alas, here you were. Heading to school all alone.
To be frank, the four of you didn't really discuss on where to meet up. When you asked your bestfriend through the group chat she made for the four of you, that dumb blonde responded with a "We'll just meet up wherever we'll meet up! That's the point."
You questioned if she ever considered the possibility of them missing each other on the way. You knew that no matter what question you'll ask Reyna, she will always shrug it off. This made you give up on even pushing to ask her the question once more, and concluded that you'll just "go with the flow". Either way though, you were still hoping to meet at least one of them on your short trip to school.
Haha, how funny.
You sarcastically remarked after seeing the person who was right in front of you. "Ah, hey Kageyama-kun, good morning" you awkwardly greeted. The male who you crossed paths with had a stiff look on his face. He seemed to have waken up a bit too early or was not able to get any sleep judging from how he had eye bags under his eyes. "O-oh, hey L/n-chan. I see that the other two aren't with you?" he answered with a stutter.
If you think about it, putting two socially awkward people in the same room all alone would do no good to the both of them. They'll either stay quiet or awkwardly try to stir up a short conversation. Your situation was no different from that of the given example.
You raised your head to respond, however, you happened to meet his eyes.
Ah, how nice.
It wasn't that long ago when you usually would catch yourself staring at it. For you, his eyes were nice to gaze at. In contrast from your shining e/c orbs, his were deep and dark. Very mesmerizing in your opinion. No matter how hard you tried to see it in a different light, you always found yourself lost while staring at it, especially during your tutorial sessions.
You soon caught yourself again. Realizing that you had been staring at him for sometime now, you cleared your throat in embarrassment. "Heh, yeah. Seeing how Reyna-chan is a paranoid freak, she must've gone ahead already. She hates being late." you added, eyes glancing everywhere but his. Of course, the boy was oblivious to what you were doing just a moment ago and questioned why you were acting all flustered.
"W-well, I just thought of something and..." you trailed off. You really had nothing to back yourself up with. It was either you'll have to lie or tell him the truth, and both were bad options.
"Oh, alright. Since Reyna-chan and that shrimp probably have gone ahead already, d-do you want to head to school together?" he said in one breath, looking away right after. You noticed he did stutter while he spoke one of the words and found it a little cute. Without being even aware, you gave him a bright smile. "Sure, you take the lead."
