Miu's POV:
I can't hide it at this point, I'm avoiding Yoichi. I mean ever since the whole 'just a friend' situation, it's just been looping in my mind over and over again.

I know I'm being selfish at this moment in time and I really shouldn't be avoiding him just because I feel like I don't have a chance.

It's not like I've been completely avoiding him, like I say hi, ask how he's doing - ya know the small talks, but I guess we don't walk back together to our rooms anymore.

Man, I really miss him, but I brought this on myself.

A lot's happened recently, for instance Yuu being partnered with telephone po- I mean Kimizuki, finding out that Kimizuki has an ill sister, Guren using  some weird demon power to make most of the people in the room to pass out - excluding the main group.

Right now, I'm just getting ready for today's event.

The day we get our own demon weapons.

Yuu was really excited and I couldn't be more happy for him, but this also means that the people I care about are gonna face off against real threats now.

Guess I'll need to get stronger to protect the ones I love I guess?

I finished getting ready and decided to head out to where we supposed to meet. It was quite a nice day - the sun shining with a slight breeze in the air that blew my hair gently.

It felt pretty nice.

I arrived at our destination, to realise Yoichi was there first. This might get awkward.

He noticed my arrival and smiled in my direction - however it wasn't the usual sunshine like one, it seemed a bit forced.

I too sent him a slightly forced smile, and asked how he was.

He said he was fine and we left the conversation at that.

It looked liked he wanted to say something, but was restraining himself from doing so.

No doubt, it was probably because of my weird behaviour recently.

The atmosphere was slightly tense as neither of us bothered to start a conversation.

Luckily enough the others soon arrived and were all quite bubbly, so they immediately dispelled the awkward air with their own chatter.

Suddenly Shinoa came prancing towards me and whispered,

"What's wrong with you and Yoichi, you haven't been talking as much?"

Aaah she noticed.

I just kept my answer simple clearly not wanting to carry on this conversation.

"Nothing much, we're fine."

She looked at me skeptically before letting out a sigh.

"Alright, I won't question further but whatever's happening needs to be fixed soon, like I don't want my OTP crashing anytime soon."

I simply thanked her and we carried on with our own random conversations.

We were in an elevator that happened to stop, signifying that we were nearly there.

When the doors opened, it revealed that there were in fact more stairs to go down.

Before we all started heading down them, Guren started speaking,

If any of you don't want to risk your lives for the reasons you came here in the first place, I suggest you go back.
