Chapter Nine

“Why did you show me that?” I asked her.

“You deserved to know the truth.” she answered.

“So I’m related to you?” I asked her wanting to know I was correct.

“Yes.” she said well smiling and nodding.

“And you look just like Samuel when he was your age.” she finished.

“We have to go after Gadreel.” I told her.

“Not yet, we can’t.” she said.

“Why not?” I asked.

“He knows that I’m back on Heavens side. That I don’t need the deal he offered me anymore.” she answered.

“What deal?” I asked being curious.

“He said that if I joined his side, I would be reunited with my love. But I realize now that I have something better.” she explained.

“What's that, the better thing?” I asked.

“You, I have my family. It may not be big like I imagined but let me tell you this its better.” she answered. I smiled feeling awkward and not knowing what to say to that. So I changed the subject back.

“Okay I won’t go find Gadreel, but we have to go soon.” I said.

“I know.” she answered. After that I went back home, I walked in the front door and went up to my bedroom. Then changed my clothes, and started packing a bag of ingredients for a spell and some weapons. I was definitely going to find Gadreel right now.

After all that he has done to my and my family he deserves to die right now. I was heading out the door when I saw Ellie walking up my drive. I walked out the door and shut it behind me.

“Where are you going?” she asked me.

“To find Gadreel.” I told her not having the time to make up a lie.

“Your what?!?” she asked looking really upset.

“Did you tell Hannah?”she finished.

“Lillian.”

“What?”

Lillian, her real name is Lillian. She is my greatest grandmother I know of.” I told her still walking.

“Wait a minute, so her name is Lillian and she is your family?” she asked making sure she heard me correctly.

“Yup.” was all I said. I kept walking but she stopped.

“Ashton.” she said. I turned around and said

“What? I really have to go.”

“You shouldn't do this.” she said.

“I have to, he has taken away too much from me and my family.” I told her. Then I went up into the air. I told myself not to look back but i did any way. I saw Ellie running back to my house then I turned back around and this time I didn't look back. I probably flew around till I finally found a place that looked suspicious. I flew down to check it out.

When I got down I realized that there were demons and fallen reapers guarding the place. So I knew I had the right place. I started walking towards the place and imagined that the song Walk this Way by Aerosmith was playing in the background. I brought out my blade and when I got up to the first demon I said Hello you're going to die now and when he turned around I stabbed him in the chest. When all of the things standing by the building heard the screams of the demon they all rushed to where I was standing. I walked around them with my hands behind my back.

“So how is everyone today?” I asked. They all snarled at me.

“Well that not very nice. Is that how you treat your guests?” I asked them trying to work them up because thats what they do in the movies. When one of the fallen reapers tried to attack me I moved to the left so it plunged its sword into one of the demons behind me killing it. Then it turned around and lunged at me again.

I saw that one of the other fallen reapers were lunging at me from behind also. So I moved to the side again, and saw that both fallen reapers plunged their swords into each others chests killing both of them. There were only about six of them left so I took my chances and l lunged at one of them. Right before I stabbed the guy in the chest I moved my sword to the side slashing open part of his stomach and stabbing the guy next to him. When I finally killed all of them I started my way inside. Right before I got to the door I heard a car pull up. I turned to see Ellie and Lillian parking the car.

“What are you doing here?” I asked them when they got out of the car.

“We came to help you.” Ellie told me. When she saw all the dead bodies she looked a little scared but didn’t show it when she looked back at me she just smiled. I wasn’t entirely sure what to say to them so I just turned around and started walking to the door. When I got to the door I a stopped for a moment thinking this could be my last day living.

If it was then Gadreel was coming with me. I put my hands on the door and flung it open. When I opened up all the way I saw that Gadreel was sitting in a chair. His chair looked like a throne like the one the girl with no face was sitting in. He looked like he was all ready for what ever happened here.

“Hello Gadreel.” I said to him in a nasty tone.

“I’m so sorry about your goons outside but they were very disrespectful to me.” I finished.

“They can be sometimes.” He said. He didn’t seem very talkative or like he wanted to do anything. He just looked bored like he expected something better.

So I started walking around his building. He got off his chair and walked around next to me.

“I’m so glad to finally be meeting you.” He said as we walked.

“Well I can’t say the same for you.” I told him. Then I heard what sounded like rattling from the next room.

I played it casually like I didn't hear anything but I turned in the direction I heard it. He didn’t stop me so I continued to walk that way. When I heard it again it was coming from a small little room. The room was just like a small little closet. I walked closer and when I got closer to it I opened it.

When he saw he grabbed my arm and pulled me away. I had already aw what was in the room, it was my mother and my sister. I immediately brought my blade up to his chest but he thought just as quickly as me and brought his up too. When the two swords clashed for the first time I felt the tingling in my feet and then it shot up through my body to my head.

We both backed slightly away from each other waiting for someone to make a move. I saw him slightly flick his finger and about five to seven demons and fallen reaper came from out of nowhere. Then I heard running and the flapping of wing from behind and then it stopped right next to me. I looked slightly to see Lillian, Ellie, Lucas, and some other Angels I didn't really know. They all went behind me to back me up. Then some one moved and the fight began.

I heard swords clashing and punches hitting flesh. I couldn’t tell who was winning. I saw Gadreel coming at me and I slashed my sword in the air in front of me. I heard him huff so I knew I hit something. I saw his sword coming up at my shoulder. So I ducked down and slashed his leg.

I saw a door shut and realized that Ellie went into the closet room to get my mom and my sister. I turned back in time to see Gadreel bringing his sword for my neck my immediately brought up mine and clashed it against his. After a couple slashes and clashes. He knocked my sword from my hand and kicked me to the ground.
