It's been almost three months since the accident. I keep feeling like she is always right next to me. I have nightmares of the accident every night. I just wish I could have said goodbye to her. "Ashton!" my sister Gia yells up the stairs.
"Ashton! Mom wants you to come down for dinner now!"
"Ok I'll be there in a minute!" I yelled back.
When I got down stairs I walked into the kitchen. My mom was putting food out on our little round table.
"What are we having tonight?" I asked when she saw me.
"Spaghetti." she answered back, well she was putting plates and silverware on the table around the food. I sat down and started to get my food.
"No, no..you know the rules Ashton pray first." my mom scolded as I was about to eat my food so I folded my hands together and closed my eyes.
"God is great. God is good. let us thank him..." my sister started saying but I stopped listening when I heard a voice in my head.
"Ash...Ash..." it said I looked up to see if my mom or my sister were calling me saying that I could eat now but they were finishing up with the prayer.
"Amen..." my sister said when she finished the prayer. "Amen" I said then I started picking at my spaghetti.
"Ashton you have to eat.." my mom said looking at me with a worried look in her eyes. I kept picking at my food. "Look Ashton...I know you really liked Ellie..loved her even but shes...gone now, what i'm saying is stop living in the past."
"Yeah...okay." but it wasn't okay. Yeah sure its only been three months but I loved her.
When are people going to leave me be about this, she was my soul mate I knew it and she did too. But I guess some people didn't. We were going to graduate this year go to the same college and get married, we had it all planned out. I finished my spaghetti and went upstairs to my room and shut the door. I looked in the mirror and saw my green eyes with my little flecks of gold by my pupil.
My kinda dark eyelashes, my small nose. My brown almost black hair that swept to the left of my face that also touched my eyebrows. But most importantly the bags under my eyes from lack of sleep. I got into my pajamas and climbed into my bed. I shut my lamp off and closed my eyes. Soon after I fell asleep.

Next thing I knew I was in a park. I stood there wondering how I got there, I was just in my bed. I heard a scream from far away. I knew that scream anywhere I heard it every night in my dreams.
"ELLIE!" I called. I looked around but I didn't see anyone here. There was no answer to my call.
"ELLIE! ELLIE! Are you alright!" I yelled but there was still no answer.
I heard running, I looked around but I saw no one, though my scenery was moving around me. Then for some reason I was out of breath. I realized then that it was me who was running. When I stopped running I stood there staring down at Ellie lying on the pavement in the parking lot. Dead.
Then I realized there was another me sitting with her head on my lap. I was crying, my tears streaming down onto her face. How was this possible I was right here standing watching her not sitting right next to her. Then I woke up screaming, I was soaked with sweat.
"Ashton! Ashton! What's wrong?" my mom said well running down the hallway to my room. She opened the door took one look at me and said in a soft tone "Oh...Ashton" she then took me in her arms and kissed the top of my head.
