Chapter 2: Getting to know the corps.

After sometime, you woke up sweating to the pain in your injury down in the right bottom abdomen. you stood up from your futon with all the strength you could holding a cane that was close by. Struggling to even walk you left the room. To your surpirse the woman who saved you was there once again, her back facing you still wearing her haori which has a butterfly wing pattern that fades into a turquoise then pink color on the sleeves and bottom edges which are cuffed with a black and white dotted trim. 

Only this time when you looked at her she was wearing a beautiful pink kimono underneath it which made you blush by simply looking at her. Standing still looking at her you could only mumble "whoa.." as she turned only to be met by Y/N still shaking from his legs as he still struggled to stay standing. "Ara~, you're finally awake" she said while smiling.

"Can i finally ask who you are and what happened?" You asked still struggling to catch your breath. "I think you should first sit down before you ask anything" She replied now with a more serious face. As you sat down infront of her with a small kotatsu table dividing you both. "Here drink this, you must still be in pain" she said handing you a small cup. As you held the cup closer to you, you got a strong and yet kind of bad smell coming from it.

 You looked at her worried more about this than your actual wounds. "Are you sur-" you were cut off. "Just Drink It" she said while giving off a sadistic smile. You took it in one big chug. "What, was this..?" You asked while coughing since it had such a horrible taste.

"Okay, so now buiness at hand since this is the only time i can actually get to rest and vacation since forever" She said closing her eyes sensing your sadness and anger still lingering in you. "What happened that day, and how long was i out?" You asked abruplty. 

She gave a blank stare at you. "Let's start with introductions shall we? My name is Kocho Shinobu, Insect Pillar Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps. What happened to your village that day was an attack by demons." she said while still balnkly staring at you.
"Sadly no slayer was nearby to act in time, and i only knew because i was passing by when i noticed something odd happening" She coninued feeling guilt for not being there in time.

"Despite all the odds the way you managed to handle the situation was quite outstanding, and however i do feel very sorry for your loss but as of now the best thing you can do is start a new life here" She added, looking at the busy street of the village you were in from where she was sitting. "While i'm here i can lookout for your health and recovery, but that's it" She said while she was about to drink out of her cup.

"How can i just forget about everything and live on as if nothing ever happened?! Especially when i wasn't there to protect the people that needed me.." You say with an angry expression that made her usual smile dissapear and gasp a bit. 'Did i say something i shouldn't have?' you thought to yourself. After which you just stayed in silence for a good minute staring at eachother which made you a bit uncomfortable. After that brief silence you both heard some commotion outside. After a small look you noticed a girl, a hunter and her small Shiba dog. 

"...what is that?" Shinobu asked. "You mean Yae-chan?" The old woman answered "She's the daughter of Matazou the matagi" she continued "Her father and friends died  infront of her after they were attacked by a bear..."

"Ever since then, she's been like that. And when she's not going down to the village for shopping, she alway's heads to the mountain for vengeance." You both listened attentively to the kind woman. "It really hurts my soul to see her..." 

"Eh..?" Shinobu said while giving a confused face.

"uh.. HEY, Don't go grabbing my shirobire" Yae yelled aloud only to be met by a man wearing a haorithat's split down the middle into two different patterns: the right one a solid pink-red and the left one geometrically patterned with squares of green, orange, and yellow.
"So you're Yae" he said with no expression at all. "Tomioka Giyuu 'Demon Hunters'. Tell me about what happened when the 'Demon' attacked you." He said still with no expression at all.
