Chapter 4: The butterflies are back.

Perrie was never good at this stage of dating, she liked to pull and was never patient enough to get to the.. good stuff. She had a problem with rushing into things and it would always drive her partner away, but this time she was going to make sure that wasn't going to happen. She didn't want to let this one run away. Jade was special. She had to be patient.

That being said, she definitely shouldn't be spamming the brunette with texts. This was going to be a lot harder than she thought.

Jade always replied slowly. Perrie had to admit, she was a lot better at this than her. They continued texting all night, and the next morning, and throughout the days that followed. It started to become a routine and Perrie was finding out more about Jade through text but since she preferred to get to know her more in person, they planned another date on Friday.

It was Tuesday now and Perrie couldn't stop skipping and smiling around her shared apartment. She was without a doubt, annoying the hell out of Jesy.

"Perrie, please. I'm trying to study." Jesy had piles of overdue work to catch up on which were scattered along the kitchen table while Perrie tapped away on her phone giggling.

"I'm just minding my own business." Perrie let herself fall on the couch as she waited for Jade to reply to her text.

Jesy knew Perrie was itching to tell her about whatever she was giggling about but she had important things to take care of right now, "Can you mind your own business in your room? And maybe study too?"

"Yeah, yeah. I'll study later." Blue eyes never leaving the device on her hands. She rolled on her stomach and let her feet swing on the air.

"Perrie-"

"Okay fine, I'll tell you." Perrie sits up from the couch and faces Jesy, who surprisingly let her get away with this. "You know the girl I was talking about? I went one a date with her and she's so much better than I imagined. She's like a walking Goddess."

"And you're a walking annoying. How pretty is this girl for you to not focus on your studies?"

"Really pretty, Jes."

"You're gonna make me sick." Jesy fake gagged, "Go or I will."

"Fine," Perrie huffed and made her way in her room to open Jade's text.

Jade 💞: if ur not doing anything, im at the library..

Perrie grabbed her jacket and sprinted out the door, leaving Jesy in peace with replying. On her way to the library, she decided to buy some donuts. She hoped Jade had a sweet tooth like herself.

Bursting in the library door and getting shushed at by the old lady, she sends her an apologetic smile before tiptoeing her way further inside. The brunette was nowhere to be seen so she sent her a quick text but a tap on the shoulder frightened her.

Jade giggled and pulled her further in the library, "We need to stop scaring each other."

Once they take a seat across from each other, Perrie offers her a donut which she gladly takes.

"You're not wearing your glasses today."

"Contacts. There's no food allowed, but you're an exception." Jade says with a mouthful.

"Noted." Perrie nodded.

"Thanks for coming, it gets pretty lonely around here."

"I wasn't doing anything anyway, plus I wanted to see you." Perrie says nonchalantly before taking a bite of her own donut.

There were a total of five donuts, they shared the last.

"I've been meaning to ask you," Jade started off.

"Go on.."

"What was the book you had in your hand when we first met?"

Perrie scratches the back of her neck and laughs embarrassingly, "It wasn't really a book.."

"A magazine?"

"...A comic."

Jade couldn't help but let out a small fit of laughter. Perrie was embarrassed but the sound of Jade's laugh was worth telling her about it.

"You're so cute, Perrie."

They spend another while talking until Perrie gets a call from Jesy, "I have to go but I'll see you on Friday, right?"

"Mhm, I'll see you on Friday." Jade plants a soft kiss on Perrie's cheek that made her palms sweat and legs shake.

The butterflies were back.

Taking her time walking home, Perrie replayed Jade's kiss on her cheek over and over again. They were so soft and warm.. she wondered what they'd feel like on her lips. She subconsciously touched her lips with her finger tips. Her mind continues to wonder what Jade's hair would feel like between her fingers, and how her small breasts would fit in her hands.

"Earth to Perrie?" Jesy shook Perrie from her day dreaming, "Where did you go? We were supposed to catch up on some shows."

"I was with Jade, she kissed me on the cheek today." Perrie cupped her cheeks and shook her head dazedly, staring at nothing.

"This girl must have put you into a spell for you to act like this. Get it together!"

They settled on their couch and started to binge watch the shows on their list but all Perrie could think about was Jade. She went to bed early that night, not to sleep though, but to touch herself while she thought about Jade's soft lips.
