Chapter 1: Denim Jacket Thief

Caught off guard because a sudden fall of rain, Perrie runs into the first building she sees for shelter only to find herself surrounded by books.

A library, of all places.

Perrie groaned brushing off the droplets from her denim jacket. Her hair was soaked and so were her socks. Stepping away from the door and walking further into the library she took a seat near the reception. The rain looked like it wasn't going to pass by anytime soon so she'd be stuck here unless she wanted to wait at the bus stop shivering from top to bottom.

It just had to rain the day she decided not to bring her umbrella.

After 30 mins of sitting and waiting, Perrie decided to walk around the library. It wasn't a massive library that was three stories high but it wasn't cramped to the point where each book shelf was half a meter apart. It even had a private rooms with bean bags and chairs to sit and read.

If only Perrie read books this would be a good place to kill some time.

"Can I help you with anything?"

"Oh God!" Perrie jumped at the old woman that managed to sneak up behind her, "Sorry.." she whispered remembering that she was in a library. The woman smiled and waited for a reply, "I'm just looking around."

The old lady nodded with a smile, "If you need help with anything I'll be over there." she pointed to a desk that was piled with books.

Perrie could still hear the sound of the rain so she decided to pick up a book and sit down some more. She took her soaked jacket off and placed it on a chair before walking around to the comics section.

After picking up an old copy of a Spiderman comic that she's sure she's read before as a kid, she found herself lost in the sea of books. Each corner seemed to look awfully similar. Looking for the corner beside the window where she left her jacket, she stumbled across a similar jacket. At first she thought it was hers but after inspecting it, it was far too tights and completely dry.

At the corner of her eye, she sees a brunette picking up her jacket with a few books in hand. She walks behind her and taps the brunette's shoulder.

"You don't plan on stealing my jacket, right?"

The brunette turns around and squints, "Excuse me?"

Perrie took a step back after seeing the beauty in front of her. Suddenly, she was too shy to talk. "That's my jacket."

"I'm pretty sure this is mine.." the brunette checks the jacket once more and realises that it was damp and a lot bigger than hers.

"I believe this one is yours?" Perrie hands her the dry one with a smile on her face.

The brunette gives her an apologetic smile as they exchange jackets, "Sorry, they look awfully similar."

"Mhm.. mine's wet though-" Perrie attempts to get more words out of her but swallowed hard when the brunette doesn't say anything. Not even a little giggle. Before Perrie could open her mouth again the brunette had gave her a little nod and walked away after glancing at the comic book in Perrie's hand.

"Stupid.." Perrie mumbles to herself. She leaned back on the chair and tries to read a few pages of the comic book but fails. The only thing in her head now is how cute that brunette looked when she squinted her eyes.

Finally, the rainfall had died down and Perrie couldn't wait to go home and take a nice warm shower.

If you asked Perrie what she had learnt in her lectures today, she wouldn't be able to tell you. Her mind was focused on one thing only, and it was the beautiful girl she had met in the library.

She tossed and turned whining like a baby while Jesy tried her best to keep her attention on her work spread all over her bed pretending as if there wasn't a grown woman groaning beside her.

"Jesss~"

Jesy closes her eyes and and takes a long deep breath before bringing her attention back to her work.

"JeEeeeeEEeessSSs-"

"What is it?" Jesy put her pen and paper down and looked at the pouting blonde.

Perrie's face immediately brightened as she sat up, "So.. there's this girl I met at the library-"

"Wait wait, the library? You don't read." Jesy laughed.

"I know! I went in to get some shelter because it started raining really bad but anyways, this girl has got to be the most beautiful human being I have ever seen."

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because.. I was wondering if you knew her?"

"How am I supposed to know a random girl you met at a random library?"

"Because... you know everyone. You're popular like that." Perrie attempts to boost her ego into helping her find the girl of her dreams.

"What does she look like?"

"About an inch shorter than me, curly brown hair, big golden like eyes, tan skin and... she's really pretty."

"Perrie, I know a lot of girls with curly brown hair, golden like eyes and tan skin. Why don't you just go back to the library tomorrow and see if she'll be there again?"

"Fine.. I'll try tomorrow."

"You're not seriously whipped for a girl you just met, are you?

Perrie smacks Jesy's thigh with a rolled up magazine and runs out of her room but not before hearing Jesy scold her for not closing her door.
