On january 3, 2017 muhammad muhaymin was walking into his local community center to use the bathroom. Muhammad , had an emotional support dog with him ( a chihuahua) , the manager at the time stopped Muhammad from entering and they got into a argument.
The cops ended up being called up and were surprisingly able to get Muhammad to use the bathroom. While, they waited for Muhammad to come out they got information that he had a warrant for not showing up in court on a charge stemming from a misdemeanor. As they took the chihuahua out of Muhammad's hands , Muhammad became anxious due to the unknown future status of his dog. He began to plead with the officers that he is homeless and tells them how much he needs his dog, clearly showing signs of needing help.
While walking to the police car, apparently the cops did not secure the cuffs correctly and they came off. He did not run away or get the chance to because the cops immediately threw him down on the floor and forcefully but the handcuffs back on. He had at least 4 different officers on his person, Muhammad died during the event and laid in a pool of his own vomit.
The officers who killed him have not been charged and are STILL working for the Phoenix PD . I don't know about you but that is HORRIBLE, the minute a cops is a core part of a wrongful death that CLEARLY could've been resolved shows MASSIVE curroption in the system.
Just because black lives matter isn't trending as much as before does not give you the right to not keep fighting, keep reposting , keep donating , if you can keep going to protests because we cannot afford to keep having these " I can't breathe " moments keep HAPPENING.
