Isa nanamang gabi ng lagim para sa nasyon ng Sekhmet. One that will be passed down to history. A bedtime story that will hunt the dreams of innocent little children.

"Help! Please, someone!"

"Iligtas niyo ang mga babae at mga bata! Padami na sila ng padami! Kai

"Huwag! Tama na!."

Well, isn't that lovely?

Napatingala ako sa kalangitan. In the midst of outmost chaos, the moon's delicate light set the Norlmeir skies a-flame with silver. Swarms of butterflies loomed on the horizon; leaving specks of white dust glowing beneath their path. Another death. Or more. They flapped and flapped their silk-like wings then suddenly stopped—waiting.

The Lady of Avalor shall now be the judge; granting access to the Promise Land to those who lived worthy unto eternal youth and happiness.

And if denied, the fates of the passing shall be cast down to The Trench. I shudder at the thought. Isang nababagay na katapusan—at least for me.

The City of Romola grew dim. The once merry ambiance of wine and laughter vanished. Strings of beelights exploded, valuable ornaments on the porches got wrecked.  People dressed in velvety suits and gowns crowded the pyramid-like streets; trampling one another, screaming at the top of their lungs.

A loud roar echoed. Hungry and vindictive. More. More. More

Thousands of iron gates did nothing to stop them. Well, those aren't Faes afterall so it's useless.

The things lurked in the shadows; swallowing their victims one by one; tearing them up flesh by flesh; painting the walls with blood. At sinong hangal naman kaya ang nagpakawala sa mga Rythans ngayong gabi?

"Did you do it?," he asked, grinning from ear to ear as he climbed up the roof.

Phelan was tall and skinny with sharp cheekbones. Looking like a fragile boy that wouldn't—couldn't hurt a fly. His joints made a clicking sound, making me worry he might break a bone with that heavy armor draped over his shoulders.

Malamang ay ninanakaw na naman niya ito. His ebony hair soaked in sweat. He was paler than usual. But what should I expect? Minsan lang ito lumabas sa ilalim ng araw. And when he does, something bad always happens.

Katulad na lang ngayon.

I fished out the protruding vial out of my pocket. It was empty.
