Dusk Till Dawn

The end of the year is the dawn of the new one.
Things cannot be undone,
and despite of every day's challenges, I'll see the sun.

Yesterday may be gone,
but I know I don't need to run.
What I have in front of me is a new horizon,
An opportunity to start a better season.

Everything happened for a reason,
and from it, I learned a ton of lessons.
There are times where I forget to exist
since I barely survived 'til the end of the week.

I experienced highs and lows,
I suffered and no one knows,
how I cried is like how the river flows.
Despite having problems in a row,
I let myself grow.
I know I will see tomorrow,
despite me feeling the sorrows.

A lot of people I met in the journey,
but them leaving? I didn't let it stopped me.
I felt in pain for awhile,
but the one who stayed helped me continue my climb.

Myself is what I am thankful for,
Pushing myself to see every lessons from every experiences and people,
is what helped me to be closer in my goal.

I saw and picked puzzles of me in every person I meet,
some parts don't fit,
and I learned that it is not a defeat,
I just have to have patience,
'til I feel complete.

Understanding myself made me understand others,
and I think that's what love is.
Knowing myself first,
giving myself what I deserve,
and treating myself better.

That love is not a curse,
and things sometimes may be worst,
but loving myself is how I will start loving someone better,
loving them how they deserve to be loved.

That it isn't just about being happy,
it is about staying through the hard times.
It shows commitment,
and it speaks patience and acceptance.

I'll leave the door wide open,
because new year is a new token.
A token for new beginnings and chances.

I may love the moon, but I'll see the sun.
I may be stuck in the dark for some time,
but I know I'll see the light.
I'll see it shine on me, again.
I may not know when,
But I'll continue until then.
