"Ok, let's get started!" San cringed at Seonghwa's excitement, honestly a little terrified. But his friend was already drying his hair carefully, styling it.
He was feeling a heck of a lot better.
Seonghwa had given him an outfit almost immediately, and while he was embarrassed putting it on he knew he looked good.
Just the outfit.
"So wait, hold up." Seonghwa was struggling. "You were responsible for the Sope couple?!"
"Yes, and that one I'm actually proud of. Yoongi just fit with Hoseok. So I, ya know, gave them a little nudge in the right direction." San admitted sheepishly, not used to discussing work. He was almost tempted to show Seonghwa his work book. The other was now painting his nails bright red, practically growling at San whenever he nearly messed them up.
"Is there a couple you aren't proud for pairing?" Seonghwa asked while applying a careful coat of polish to San's pinky nail.
"Yep, definitely." San sighed, not wanting to talk about it. But Seonghwa gave him the puppy look and he knew he couldn't refuse. "Fine. I paired Robert and Kirsten."
"No...you mean..?" Seonghwa put a hand over his mouth to suppress laughter.
"Yep, the Twilight couple. Didn't work too well. Robert was too weird for her, but in the absolute best way. Like no one has been able to successfully pair that man with anyone." San spoke dramatically, feeling sort of like a girl at a slumber party. This was pretty fun.
"So can you tell if people are dating?"
"No, not unless they've been paired by a Cupid. They'd have a mark that I could see if that happened. Like a symbol of number. Each Cupid has a different symbol." San held out a hand, coaxing his magic to his palm. A symbol shone just above his hand, a butterfly that was almost fluid in shape and shimmering like liquid gold.
"That's so pretty."
"Thanks. But, I am pretty good at guessing who's in a relationship."
"Tell me! Who do you think?" Seonghwa grabbed San's knee, looking up with sparkly eyes.
"Well, there's one couple I'm almost a hundred percent sure are dating. Mark and Haechan." San admitted, giggling when Seonghwa let out a little gasp.
"Oh my god you are so right. I mean once I saw them coming out of the bathroom and Haechan's lips were super red and Mark looked flustered! It was kinda adorable but I didn't think anything of it back then!" Seonghwa was smiling and going on about couples he thought were together, San confirming or denying if he knew they were real. Seonghwa eventually moved on to San's makeup, making him stay still throughout the whole process. "...but I really don't know. I mean I've always wanted a relationship, but it's just never felt right when I date someone. Like I think they care, but in the end we just don't work. And before you ask I kinda like boys and girls. But I don't know I have a soft spot for adorable people."
