"Hey" Wes says as he heads inside with Isaac and Charlie. He high fives Ashton and gives Hope a hug, Isaac and Charlie do the same. In sophomore year, I saw Wes with Hope a fair bit. Hope hasn't mentioned Wes to me but I know the two of them are close. He dated Eleanor for a while, before I moved to Redwood High.

"Thanks for having us" Charlie says to Hope, we all head into Hope's living room and sit down on her couches. I sit in-between Hope and Chelsy. I have no idea what we'll get up to tonight, but I'm pretty sure it'll be fun.

"Let's play truth or dare" Chelsy suggests. We may as well since we don't have Courtney here to ruin everything. I'm so glad Hope isn't hanging around Courtney anymore, she needs better friends. I was afraid Hope would still be frenemies with her, despite everything that Courtney did, but thankfully she's not.

"I dare Hope to kiss Isaac" Charlie says without asking Hope if she'd pick truth or dare. I groan inwardly, of course this happens. I swear half our school is in love with Hope. But Hope wants you. It doesn't matter who likes Hope because she likes me. 

Hope glances over at me, looking unsure. I nod quickly before anyone sees us. I realize that Wes noticed the look between us, he looks confused. I'm sure he'll end up putting two and two together, which doesn't bother me like I thought it would. It won't get back to Andrew and Melissa, if heaps of people end up finding out, I'll tell them so they can't hear it from anyone else. It might upset Hope, but her and Wes are close so he isn't going to tell people without her permission.

"Fine" Hope says, she doesn't move so Isaac moves towards her. I roll my eyes, Isaac can't wait to kiss Hope. Isaac kisses Hope and she pulls back quickly, clearly not interested. I smirk, I was right. Hope wants me, she doesn't want Isaac.

"Hunter, truth or dare?" Chelsy asks, I glance over at Hunter. I'm almost certain that she'll pick dare, she doesn't usually go for truth. "We all know you'll pick dare" Chelsy says, laughing slightly. I bite my lip, how close have they gotten? I know I have no reason to be jealous, considering that I am the one who has been spending heaps of time with Hope, but I don't want to lose my best friend. Chelsy and Hunter have a lot more in common than me and Hunter, so it'd make sense if Chelsy did become Hunter's best friend.

"Truth" Hunter says, surprising everyone. As tempted as I am to ask Hunter who her best friend is, I'm not going to ruin our hangout by creating drama. This is a conversation that should happen in private, not with other people around.

"Who knows you best out of everyone here?" Ashton says, after glancing at me. Did Ashton realize that I felt jealous? What is he doing? Hunter fiddles with a strand of red hair, probably thinking about who she should say.

"Chelsy" Hunter finally answers, avoiding eye contact with me. You have no right to be jealous. You befriended Hope first. Despite all that, I can still feel jealously creeping up on me. Hunter has known Chelsy longer than she's known me, it makes sense that Chelsy could know her better.

"Ouch" Hope mutters, and Wes shoves her. Thanks Wes. Why does Hope have to make situations more uncomfortable? Her and Hunter were just starting to become friends.

"Shut up, Hope, at least I'm not just straight up rude to everyone" Hunter snaps. Okay, this is going to turn into a fight unless someone does something to stop it. I glance a Wes, he's supposed to be mature and responsible so hopefully he'll intervene.

"Oh my god, can you move on already? Your parents divorced, get over it. Half the people in this room has divorced parents" Hope says, rolling her eyes. What is wrong with Hope? She shouldn't act like Hunter's parents getting divorced is no big deal.
