Take me to the corner on 5th
Where the streets are lined with clubs
Where neon is the common tongue
And eyeliner is the right of passage
Junkies passing out in dingy alleyways
Drunkards pissing on the side of the road
The ugliness of the earth in all its gloryTilted view of your shoes walking towards me
What am I doing down here?
How did I end up on the floor?
Is that a knife?
Is that blood?
Is that my blood?I feel chaos brewing inside of me
Like i'm in the heart of a massive rave
Like i'm at a hard rock concert
My ears are bleeding out
But I keep stamping my feet to the beat of the musicStamp....stamp......sta
It's all muffled now
The stamping is slowing down
Who turned down the music?
Why are my eyes so heavy?
I'm so tired
I need to go to sleepYou took me dancing didn't you?
Just as I requested
Only I didn't get to dance
No, I didn't get the chance
But you danced alright
Right on the crimson streams that flowed out my chestTake me dancing once more
To my favourite corner on 5th
where the lights burn brighter than the stars
For where I must go there is only darkness
Grant me this my wish
So that I might gaze upon brightness one last time
In preparation for the final dance
The Dance of Death_T
