The  resounding neighs of the horses echoed through the air, more pronounced than ever before. Crowds of eager onlookers clamored at the gates, anxiously awaiting the arrival of the princess and the crown prince of Bali. Guards worked diligently to clear a path for the carriages to navigate through the thronging masses. Surrounding the carriages were hundreds of maids and soldiers, their presence a testament to the importance of the impending journey.

In the forefront stood the magnificent steeds destined to carry the prince, adorned with vibrant red, yellow, and rose-colored flowers strewn about. Before embarking on their journey to Dholakpur, the Empress needed to address her subjects. Indumati took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the approaching day settle upon her. Soon, she would reunite with her kingdom, her family, and her father. If she could only sway him even slightly, if she could only succeed in persuading him, then perhaps she could finally realize her long-held dream.

"Nervous?" Arjun inquired, striding over to where Indumati stood, a few paces behind the expansive balcony where they would soon address the citizens.

"Why would I be nervous?" Indumati countered, her tone betraying a hint of defensiveness.

"You tell me," Arjun retorted, a playful smirk dancing on his lips.

Indumati averted her gaze, knowing all too well that he already had his answer.

"You already know what's racing through my mind," Indumati started, her hand instinctively clenching over her heart to calm its frantic beats, "-and you're well aware of how he and aunt still view me as that same delicate flower, wilted by their overprotective tendencies." Arjun's gaze pierced forward, his eyes narrowing against the onslaught of sudden brightness, a silent acknowledgment of the weighty burden Indumati carried.

"To be perfectly honest, I've found myself aligning with Uncle Indraverma and Aunt Suryaprabha," Arjun admitted, prompting Indumati to turn towards him, her brow furrowing in response to his words.

"But that was until I sparred with you. Your methods and approaches may still require refinement, but I have faith in you. You have the potential to become a remarkable Empress," Arjun remarked, offering her an encouraging smile.

Indumati gazed at him, a surge of newfound self-assurance coursing through her veins. Encouragement was something she had yearned for, and Arjun's words filled her with hope. As he placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, she felt a sense of determination welling up within her.

"But ultimately, it's not up to me to make that decision," Arjun continued, his voice gentle yet resolute. "You still have your father. Earn his trust, and show him what you're capable of."

Indumati smiled, a sense of calm washing over her like a gentle breeze. For the first time in what felt like ages, she felt truly at ease, grateful for the reassurance and support Arjun had offered her.

"Saying that is easy for you." Indumati teased, turning her face away, her eyes in corner still checking on an Arjun, whose nerves were twitching on his forehead.
