Chapter 6: Respect

Y/N's POV

I was suddenly woken up. I opened my eyes and looked at the clock beside me on the small table. Huh, it was only 5 in the morning. Oh well, might as well get ready early. 

I finished my morning routine and wore a hoodie with jeans. I went to the kitchen area to make fruit salad for breakfast. After that, I went back to the bed and checked the time. 5:36. Eh, it was still early.

'Why don't we read some more of mom's diary?'   Nova said. 

'That's a good idea to kill the time.'   I said and grabbed mom's diary from the table. I opened the page I was on last night and started to read it.

January,5th

I went to the palace to ask my father more about the gems. He was nervous to tell me at first, but eventually he did. He told me that those gems are not safe to be kept at one place. So, he put each of them at different locations where no one knows. There's only two more gems that was left for him to keep. Not until Y/N came and became the one the prophecy spoke of. He decided that he would give her the blue gem but as a necklace when she transformed into her wolf for the first time.

He didn't tell me where the gems are kept but the other gem he kept was the red one. He told me that someday, there will be a group of young gentlemen who will be chosen as its guardians. This is also stated in the prophecy. These Guardians will also be the one to protect the chosen one.

   
Hmm...Guardians protecting another gem similar to the one I'm wearing and also will be protecting me? I wonder who they will be? Do I need to find them? Or will they find me? 

Suddenly a voice or more like a whisper took me out of my train of thoughts.   'Y/N......' 

'Hey! It's that voice again!'    Said Nova. 

'Yeah, you're right but we can't follow it.'   I said.   'Why not~'    She whined.

'Because we have school, remember? We don't know where it will lead us to.'

'Fine~~'    She groaned. After that, I continued to read more ignoring the tugging feeling in chest.

August,29th

My girl is 8 years old now and she has been slowly learning how to control her powers. She once asked me and my mate where she got her powers from. But, we decided to lie and told her she has those powers since she was born. I don't want to lie to my little girl but we have no choice. Until now, she has never ask us that same question again. We were starting to get a little worry about her since the day the rogues started to attack us to get their hands on my little girl.

Time Skip 

I looked at the clock and saw that it was now 6:34. There was still a lot of time before school starts at 7:30.  'Maybe we'll just go out for a run.'  Nova suggested.

'I guess there's nothing else to do till then..Let's go!'   I said as I was getting up from my bed. I went out to the woods. As I got in front of a wall of trees, I looked around making sure that no one is watching.

After I knew it was clear, I quickly changed into my wolf and let Nova take over.   'Ready?'   Nova asked. 

'Ready!'   I replied. We dashed into the woods letting our spirit run free.
