Chapter 17:Kingdom

Y/N POV

"Wow, grandpa! This is beautiful! Lavenders, my favorite!" I said as we arrived at a garden full of lavenders.

"Of course. I asked the maids to plant these since I know how much you love it." he chuckled.

"Then, did you plant those lavenders outside the Kingdom walls?" I turned to him. The boys just stayed quiet.

"Ever since I got the news that those rogues attacked your pack and killed your parents, I sent the guards to find you. When they report that your body was nowhere to be found, we assumed that you were still alive. I commanded the guards to start searching for you worldwide but never did found you. Soon, the boys grew old. Old enough to be your guardian. That's when I entrusted them to protect the Fire gem and try finding you at the same time. Meanwhile, I asked the maids to plant lavenders all around the forest." he explained.

"Well, you picked just the right people for it." I smiled looking at the 7 men behind me.

"How were you, Y/N? I know it's hard when you have to do everything on your own at such a young age." he looked at me sadly.

"Well, the most hard thing was when you have to move to a different house multiple times to get away from the Rogue Leader. I always felt alone too. But, when I moved to a new house and school, I met...them." I pointed towards the boys. They all smiled especially Taehyung.

"Ah! According to the prophecy, you must've found your mate already, my dear. Who is the lucky man?" grandpa asked excitedly.

"I am, My King." Taehyung stepped forward smiling at the King.

"Congratulations my boy! You will be the next King as Y/N will be the next Queen! You both will be great rulers together!" I frowned at grandpa's sentence.

"About that, grandpa. I don't think Im ready to be Queen yet." I looked down. At the corner of my eyes, I saw the boys were all shocked with mouths hung opened.

"But Y/N, you're here now and must take over your throne immediately. That was stated in the prophecy!" Jin said making me frown at that.

"It's ok, Seokjin. I understand, my dear. You need some more time. Let me know when you're ready, ok?" grandpa stated and I nodded with a small smile. "In the meantime, why don't you explore the Kingdom and get to know the soon to be your people, hmm?" he suggested.

"That's a great idea, grandpa!" I said. Im about to become Queen. So, why don't I explore the whole Kingdom and meet the people.

"Uhh...I'll go with you, Y/N!"

"Are you sure, Tae?" I asked. He nodded excitedly.

"Well then you two, have fun on your date!" I widened my eyes at grandpa's sentence. Tae just smiled sheepishly at the word 'date'. I guess this can count as a date.

"Let's go then. Y/N?" he offered me his arm and I smiled, wrapping arm around his arm.

We walked out of the castle gate leaving the other 6 boys with grandpa. As we walked through the town, the people stopped and bowed down to us. Ok, this is a bit uncomfortable.

'Yeah! Especially when you're new to this' Nova said. She knows me too well.

"Umm...please act normally towards me. Im not comfortable with this." I exclaim. They gasped then a woman in her 20's said

"But Your Majesty, it's against the rule to disrespect the future Queen..."

"Well, don't worry! You're not disrespecting me at all. Im the one who asked that, didn't I?" I smiled.
