Y/N's POV

Ever since that day, I kept running and running, move cabin to another cabin, territory to another territory. It was really exhausting and just because of one fear....getting caught or worse......killed.

Once I was done getting ready, I went to the small table to eat breakfast. I pulled out some fruits from the wooden cabinet. There were lots I picked from the forest. I only eat meat during afternoon or night time. Usually eat raw meat in my wolf form.

It tasted better that way anyway.

I swung a leather bag on my shoulder and went to my desk and open one of the drawers. I pulled out a necklace. Its gem is blue in color. I stared at it and my mother's faint voice echoed in my mind.

"I want you to always keep this with you. No matter where you are, this necklace will protect you."

"I promise, mother."   Although, I never knew what exactly she meant, I vowed to always keep it with me. Somehow, I felt to have a strong connection with it. It's like something familiar, but still foreign.

I didn't really know much about the necklace. Just that, it is precious to my mother. It's one of the last things I have to keep memories of her alive.

I did inherited something else from her bloodline. Elemental powers consist of fire, water, earth and wind. I had them since I was 6 but couldn't control them very well. My mother also told me to read the book that she gave me but I still haven't even open it.

Call me a coward or just being straight up stupid, but something in my mind told me I wasn't ready.

I went out of the lodge I had found a few months back and walked to exit the forest and towards the school. It was a long walk but good thing I went out early. Once I arrived at the gate, I stared at the school building for a while and finally walked in.

I could see other students staring at me and whispering to each other. Heh, probably about me because, who transfers schools at the end of the year?

I got into the building and tried to find the principal's office. I could still hear their whispers and feel their gazes on me thanks to my enhanced senses. 'Okay, this is starting to get annoying.'  I thought.

I finally found the principal's office after a couple of minutes of walking around the hallways. I knocked on the door and heard a faint 'come in'. I slowly opened the door and closed it behind me. "You must be the new student."   Said the principal.

"Yes, I am." I replied.

"Welcome! And please sit down. I am Mrs. Wong."   I did as I was told while she searched through the papers and set them in front of me. "This is your schedule and this is your locker's number and it's key."

"Thank you, Ma'am!"    I said excitedly and grabbed everything from her table.

"You're welcome. You may go now."   With that I stood up, bowed to her and exited her office.  "Okay, let's see.....First class is.......English."

I tried looking around to find the classroom but the school was kinda big so it will take time. Minutes passed and I finally found it, standing in front of the door ready to knock.

??? POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm beeping. I slowly opened my eyes and did my routine like showering and wearing my clothes to get ready for school. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs only to be greeted by 6 men laughing around the table.

"Yah! Taehyung, hurry up and get your butt here. Everyone's been waiting for you, you know?" Jin hyung yelled once he saw me.

"But hyung, it's still early in the morning~" I whined. "I don't care. To me, we're going to be late for school."   Jin hyung crossed his arms.

"Fine!"    I groaned and sat next to Jungkook.

"Don't tell me you're still devastated because you haven't found your mate yet?"    Hoseok hyung jokingly mocked.

Oh! I forgot to mention we're all werewolves, well all except me. Dont get me wrong, I am a werewolf, just not a full werewolf.....yet. I need my mate for me to shift and be a full werewolf. But, until now she was nowhere to be sensed.

"What else would it be, hyung."   I said that before I sighed.

"Cheer up, Tae! I'm sure you're gonna meet her one day."   Said Namjoon hyung.

"But when? I've waited too long for her. If I still can't find her, I'm gonna be stuck like this forever."   My eyes met Namjoon hyung's before they turned down.

"Let's not talk about this now, shall we? We don't want to ruin anyone's mood."    I always appreciated them trying to cheer me up. They all nodded in unison and we continued finishing breakfast with other talks.

We finished breakfast and went out of the house heading to school. It was still pretty early though but we didn't mind it as we didn't want to be surrounded by a group of girls fangirling us when we arrive.

So, we decided to arrive school early today. We entered the school building and sighed in relief because there's not much student in the halls. We went to our lockers and grab our books. Then, I went to English class with Jimin and Jungkook after we said goodbye to our older bros.

The class was still empty when we entered and that's a good thing since I didn't want to face any girls at the time, especially Chunseo.

After 20 minutes, all of our classmates started to fill in including Chunseo but she was busy talking with her friends. That was a relief.

Then, it hit me. A faint scent of caramel and lavender. It was the most pleasant scent I have ever smelled in my entire life. I was admiring the scent until Jimin decided to interrupt me by nudging my arm.

"Yo, Taehyung. What's wrong with you? You look like you's drunk or something."   He teasingly said.

Really?

"Oh,uhmm......."    What should I do? Should I tell him about the scent?

"Yeah, hyung, you were making a weird face. It was kinda creepy"    Jungkook leaned to the front to get a good look at me.

"It's nothing really."   I said giving them an awkward smile. "Hmmm.....Okay then."

Next thing I know, the scent was getting stronger and I was overwhelmed by it.
