(I would like to say, I know what happens to kite but I haven't watched it actually happen yet bc I know ima cry so- why do I have to love characters that die or are underrated)

It was a nice day, a few clouds rolling across the sky but not enough to hide the sun longer than a minute. It was hot but the breeze made it perfect as I worked in my garden next to my cabin, my home in the middle of the forest. When ever I came into town people would stay away scared I would curse them or something, I was a witch yes, but I wasn't an asshole. But that was months ago, I haven't been in town in about half a year, hopefully they forgot who I was but I doubt it. Especially when I heard a pair of foot steps heading my way, they were light, I wouldn't have noticed them if it wasn't for the smell of fresh bread and chocolate hit me when the breeze changed direction.

I was smart enough to hide my presence when he was still pretty far away. Although I'm sure they still knew I was here somewhere, but I could at least tactfully hide when they do get here. I'd rather not deal with angered towns people when I didn't have too, this wouldn't be the first time they've sent a hunter to come for me. I heard that they was about to come to ny opening is when I decided to go up into the trees so I could watch the person from above. I looked down to see that they sent a very tall and skinny man, he had very long white hair that went to his mid calf, wasn't practical but very nice. He didn't seem to be on any kind of high alert, honestly he seemed like he was just on a stroll through the forest.

His blue hat covered his face from me, I couldn't pick out any features. He wore a white turtleneck, with some blue wrapping around his waist, then black pants and brown shoes. The man stopped when he saw my home, it almost looked abandoned if it wasn't for my very well attended too garden a few paces away. I was actually surprised when he walked up to my door, he paused and seemed to actually knock. Maybe he wasn't a hunter? You never know maybe I was just being judging, but I'll keep my guard up. As he knocked I got down from my tree and walked up behind him, "is there anything you need?" My voice was loud enough for the surrounding trees to bounce back at us. His eyes widen for a second before relaxing once more, "do you live here?" His voice was deep, almost soothing, I smiled as tilted my head "depends, why are you here?"

The man didn't seemed surprised at my suspicion, "I was told that there was someone who lived deep in the forest, I was hoping that they would be able to show me some of the animals in this area." He was straight to the point, and he didn't feel or seem threatening. "Why are you after the animals?" I asked my smile slightly lowering as Kite pulled out a Hunters license, "I hunt unknown animals and study them, I would never kill an animal unless they threatened Human lifes." The man declared, his eyes were blazing with burning determination. I hummed "Well, lucky for you, yes I live here, come, tell me Whats your name?" I smiled as I passed him waving him inside my home. "Kite." Was his simple reply as I guided him to sit at my kitchen table, "Kite, I hate to seem rude but I have a few things I need you to do for me before I help you." I spoke grabing a few things I would need if he agreed to my terms. "They are?" Kite wasn't spineless at least, or he was just ignorant, either way I liked him. "At all times I am not with you, you have this on your person." I handed him a small spell jar, it was one of protection and I infused it with my Nen so I could always tell where he was. "And please, don't set up camp somewhere, you are fully welcomed in to my home, those are my rules."

Kite raised and eyebrow at the jar I gave him, "what is this?" Kite lightly shook the jar. "A jar of protection, You may be a hunter but I've seen many died here to their ignorance." I explained my eyes going hard at the memory's of my family's slow demise. "...Thank you." Kite slowly spoke as he slipped the jar into one of his pockets, thankfully going along with my few rules. "Oh!" I suddenly said making Kite look up at me as I held out my hand to him smiling. "How rude of me, I'm (Y/n) the guardian of this forest." Kite gave me a small smiled as his way larger hand wrapped around mine for a handshake. "Now if you ever come by here and I'm not in the house or you need my help. Hold your jar and tap it five times, I'll be here or where ever you are as fast as I can be." This brought Kite's attention as he looked at me his eyes slowly bring guard.
