First day

It's my first day of classes here at UT Austin. I grew up in Canada so I'm not sure why I chose to go to school in Texas, I guess I just needed to take a step back from life at home. Besides, I liked the programs this uni had to offer.

Because I only just moved here I don't have any friends, I'm hoping to meet someone in class today. Omg I just looked at the time and if I want to stop for coffee before my first class I have to leave now! Byeeee

Your POV
It's warm here, I don't know why I decided to go to school in the south, wow I'm dumb. I grew up in Canada for god's sake, how did I think I could handle the heat.

I arrive at the coffee shop at the exact time I had planned, nice. I order a medium iced americano and put some cream into it before I head out the door. I'm still fighting with the lid when I walk right into someone, "omg I am sooo sorry about that." I stammer. The man I had bumped into is much taller than me, he has a short beard and an eyebrow slit. Wow that's hot! I think to myself. "No worries" he says. That's when I realize he's wearing a UT Austin sweater. "Hey I just noticed your sweater, do you go to school there?" I ask. "Yeah. I'm actually headed to my class now. I'm Nick by the way."

After a little bit more chatting we figure out we are both sophomores and have the same class right now. He asks if he can walk with me and of course I say yes. When we arrive we decide to sit next to each other since he is the only person I know.
Time skip
After class finishes Nick asks for my number so we can stay in touch. We exchange numbers and I head back to my dorm while he goes on to his next class.
The entire walk back I can't stop thinking about him. I'm not sure why though, it's not like we had a really deep conversation or anything. Oh well.

Nick's POV
Holy shit. I just met the cutest girl before class today. She says her name is y/n, and honestly I've never heard a prettier name. We didn't get to talk much because the walk from where we met to class wasn't that long, but at least she agreed to give me her number. I'm thinking of texting her tonight but I don't want to seem desperate, I should ask for some advice from my friends. I get to my next class a bit early so I decide to text my buddies now.
Sapnap: "hey guys, can I get some help on a girl situation?"
Dream: "of course dude, what's up?"
George: "OoOoOo! Does sapnap have a girlfriend?!"
Sapnap: "no! Not yet anyways😼. But seriously I met a girl today and I got her number and I just want to know when I should text her"
George: "well you don't want to seem desperate, but you don't want her to think you don't care"
Dream: "it all depends on how much you like her"
Sapnap: "well shit then maybe I should just text her now"
