Lunch

Your POV
I was only in my dorm for about 35 minutes when I heard my phone chime.

Nick: "hey y/n! It's me Nick, I know it's only been about an hour since we saw each other but I wanted to talk to you again."
You: "haha looks like you have a crush on me😉"
Nick: "wow very funny, in all seriousness though would you want to go out to lunch with me tomorrow?"
You: "okay, sounds fun, text me the details later tonight"

Wow, is this a date?! Or just something casual?
I am unable to concentrate in my next class because of Nick. The more I think about him the more I think I've seen him somewhere before. But where?

Time skip

It's the day Nick and I are going out for lunch, I'm so excited to see him again. Early this morning he asked if I wanted to go to a cafe, I told him I was good with anything so we decided on that.

I'm going to wear a suede skirt and a plain white t shirt tucked in. I haven't had the time to lease a car yet so I call an Uber. I arrive to the restaurant on time and see nick sitting on the patio of the cafe. When he sees me he stands up to give me a hug and says hello. His arms wrap around me like a blanket and I feel so safe. We finally let go of each other and I see that he is wearing a blue sort of golf shirt and a pair of shorts. He looks good in it.

Time skip till after lunch

Nicks POV
We've just finished our meals meaning it's probably time to leave but I want to stay with her. We talked about all sorts of things, and never once did we break in conversation. She told me about what life was like living in Canada. And how her parents own a cottage and she would spend the summers there. When it became winter she would play ice hockey non stop.

I finish paying the bill for both her and I. She told me that she would pay for her own meal but I wouldn't let her. As we walk out of the patio I bring up the idea of going to a nearby park that has a pond to watch ducks and other wildlife. When we get there I go to sit on a park bench. But y/n has a different idea. She still had some leftover bread from her lunch so she starts to feed the ducks. They come swimming over and soon I join her. We were having such a peaceful time tossing bits of bread to the ducks but when we ran out of bread it got ugly. The ducks started coming up to land as we slowly walked away. We heard some loud quacks so naturally we turned around. I couldn't believe it. "RUN!" Y/n shouts. We start running away hand in hand as ducks chase us across the park, they were surprisingly fast. I look to my right and the girl who was once holding my hand has fallen behind. She could not run anymore because she was having a laughing fit. The ducks were still so angry so all I could think to do was pick her up and run. Her body fit perfectly in my arms. We finally made it to my car and the ducks were no longer chasing us. I put her back on the ground and she finishes laughing, I love her giggles.

Your POV
I turn around and there are ducks chasing us! Omg! I start to yell and Nick takes my hand. We are running away but then I start to think about the situation we are in. I mean, we are being chased by ducks for god sakes. I can't control myself so I start laughing.

The next thing I know I am in Nick's arms, he's so strong. After a few more seconds of Nick running the ducks have decided to leave us alone, and coincidentally we have arrived at his car. He sets me down and I have calmed down. We decided that's enough adventure for one day so he offers me a ride back to my dorm. We arrive and as we are saying our goodbyes I give him a kiss on the cheek. He looks away and smiles to himself, I can see he is blushing like crazy.
