You meet someone the first day of your sophomore year at the university of Austin Texas. You seem to recognize him but you can't put a name to the face.
Dream finally fell asleep in the guest room while George was asleep on the couch. "Do you want to go somewhere so we don't wake them?" Nick asked me. "Sure! Let's take my car."
We got into my car and I clicked the button that put the top down. I started driving unsure of where I was going to bring us. I drove onto the highway and kept driving until I saw an exit sign that read "What A Burger: 1 mile" Nick and I both looked at each other thinking the same thing.
After we stopped for food Nick started telling me where to drive and what streets to turn on, but he wouldn't tell me where our final destination was going to be.
After about 20 minutes of driving Nick finally said the words, "Okay, we are here." I gave him a strange look, "Where is 'here'?" We seemed to be in a grassy field with a small dirt road running through the middle. I could also hear the sounds of a small river flowing nearby. And it was only a few minutes till sunset. "I don't know," he finally answered, "I just remember biking through this field as a kid and I thought it would be nice to take you here." He gave me a shy smile. "I appreciate it, Nick. It is beautiful." And it was.

We both sat in the car with no intention of moving anytime soon. The sky changed colours practically every minute and there was a soft breeze to keep us cool in the warm Texas air.
Nicks POV Y/n looked so fascinated by sky. I had a hard time focusing on it with her next to me though. She gave me butterflies in my stomach whenever she'd come near me, in a good way of course. "Look how pretty it is!" She exclaimed after being silent for a while. "Not as pretty as you y/n." She gave me a funny look before yelling the word "Simp" in my face. I buried my face into my hands chuckling to myself.
It's cheesy, I know, but it's true. When I looked back over at her she had unbuckled her seatbelt and was opening her door. I too, got out, and the next thing I knew I was chasing her through that field.
She was running as fast as she could and I was having a hard time catching up to her because I kept laughing. "You are so slow!" She yelled over her shoulder. "Why are you running, why are you running?" (I hope you get the reference) I responded. That line got to her. She too was giggling now and I managed to catch her.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and she held onto my shoulders. Neither of us dared breaking eye contact. She was still giggling when I let it slip out- "y/n, I- I think you're beautiful, and funny, and kind. So, can we uh- make this official... wil- will you be my girlfriend?"
She stares at me for a few seconds without saying anything, omg what if i just ruined everything? my mind races with thoughts of me losing her, i'm not sure i could handle losing her.
"I- omg. omg yes!" she finally blurts out. "Jeez! Y/n you scared me! I thought you were gonna say no!" i laugh. "Why on earth would i say no to that Nick." she says before giving me a small peck.
Y/n POV Ahhhhh i'm so happy! Nick and i stay standing in the field still holding onto one another. We continue talking and share the occasional kiss. I can feel him smile against my lips and omg that makes my stomach butterflies go crazy.
After a little while it gets cool so we head back to my car. "I don't wanna go back yet. I'm having a really good time with you." I say. "Yeah me too." Once we get to the car I say "Why don't we watch the stars, it's practically dark." We lay down on the hood of the car and take in the sky. It's dark enough now that most of the stars are already out. I point out some of the constellations I recognize and Nick just seems amazed I can find them so easily.
After an hour star gazing and cuddling we decide to head back to his house. I let him drive since i'm practically falling asleep. When we arrive he comes to my side of the car and helps me out. What a gentleman. He leads me to our room and both me and him collapse on the bed not even bothering to change into our pyjamas.
